I saw this yesterday.  Of course, I bought the Luau badges the day before for a friend.  Not worth going into chat for 8 gems.   I guess timing is everything.

Don't feel to bad.  It doesn't apply to the Luau badges.  I tried to purchase the 2 I don't have and it wouldn't apply the discount.  When they say April they mean April. The Luau badges expire March 31.

I am going to wait out the month and see if there is possibly another sale for the 2 Luau I didn't have.  If not at the end of the month I will purchase them for the 16 gems.  But picked up 11 of the ones that expire in April. I am that far behind with m & m badges 
I was ill and without a computer for so long and that I am still playing badges I purchased back in 2011. Just found the 2014 New Years Limited Edition badge the I never got to complete. Hopefully this year will be better than the last few as far as health goes.
