Hey all, I was doing this on medium difficulty but it'll work on all. first complete your border (easy enough), then pull down your tray all the way and stack all the pieces right on top of each other in the middle of the tray so you have a single stack of pieces, now grab the top piece and hover it to one of the sides of the stack and drop it, it should have snapped together with a corresponding piece, now grab those pieces you put together and do it again. 8)
Now that is ingenious!! My hat is off to you!
Thanks Bob
Java, add it to your favorites.
hydrox4all, thank you. OMG, It has cut my time in half.
i found a glitch on accident... it takes a bit but it works and it's pretty cool... so... make the border.. open the tray stack all the pieces on top of each other drag them to the puzzle board and close the room... when you go back in the room it will ask if you want to continue the game... say yes... your pile will still be there.. and all the pieces in order of where they go!! lol they start in the bottom right corner and go from bottom to top, bottom to top, bottom to top. O0 ;)
I just wanted to add that i do the shortcut with the border pieces too. I can do a puzzle on medium in under 8 mins....sometimes less than that.

Wow, 8 minutes? With only doing the original tip I can do the medium difficulty in 4~5 minutes. 3:45 is my best time.
Thanks to both of you who gave these tips to us. It was very helpful and I certainly appreciate it.
24 seconds? :o ???
Great tips! thanks!
I found an easy way of stacking the pieces. Use the Magnet (at the top) and click real fast when dragging your pieces.
You can have all the pieces stacked perfectly on eachother in a matter of seconds ;)

Do you mean stack all the pieces on the tray or the puzzle? And they are going to move by themselves to fit the puzzle? Let me know so I can use the shortcut and thanks.

Sorry but I posted that wrong, my question looks like a quote. Sorry about that.
Rats....I did it again........ :o :o. Sorry....... :-[ :-[ :-[
Just wanted to add to this shortcut....
what i do is i find the bottom right corner of the puzzle and put it off to the side...Then I put all the pieces(from the drawer too) in a neat stack on the board(use the magnet). I then hover that corner piece over the stack until it connects to ONE piece....then refresh the game. When u come back all the pieces in the stack will be in order from the bottom corner up. Just start connecting the pieces. It takes me less than 5 mins per game or medium level
I hope i explained that well enough u can all understand it

I think my best time was 24 seconds, I figured that tip on my own, didn't realize it was a tip until I read pogocheats today, lmao. Anyways, thank you dallastx, for giving me a gmail invite, you're the bomb :P O0
It took me longer than 24 seconds to say, "hmmm" to the fact that you did it in 24 seconds. Keep up the good work and you will have a badge in 13 minutes 6 seconds.

yes homer, 24 seconds, have a hard time believing that? lol, easy glitch.
Yes I do have trouble believing it. It takes at least 24 seconds just to stack the pieces in the tray not including putting the border together.
Amen
>:( I can't even get my drawer to fully open for me to get the pieces out of. I have started and reset the game several times. It's driving me crazy. Any hints?
To save time and too many reloads, I stack the border pieces, then stack the innies bring them down to the main board.
Leave the room, come back put everything in place. The two piles stay separate but in order.
Only one reload per puzzles if you don't want to do the border yourself.
Yer an idjit if you ain't doing this on Hard.
Hard=20 puzzles to badge.
~toker~
Pull the handle all the way down and use the magnet Scarlet. O0
Oh ok. I was going to say it takes longer to stack them. ;) I know what your doing. :P
No. I happen to have impeccable timing. LOL
Usually bouncing between here and pogo. LOL ;)
Stalking isn't very cool. :-\
Oh ok. :)
OK...this lil shortcut works good....BUT....i am getting nowhere in the progress, i am playing on hard difficulty and i finish a puzzle and the progress will move...I finish a second puzzle and it moves back...WTF? Any ideas on whats going on???
I haven't had that problem but another member said you need to complete 20 puzzles on the hard setting to get the badge. :)
ive been doing that homer....ive solved a shitload of puzzles....been solving the hard ones in about 5 mins each but they dont advance my progress....I dont know what is going on
Must be something wrong with pogo. :-\ I imagine you've tried another room right?
i just sent a pm to ya homer...im getting pissed here
I got it and replied. I don't think it's your pc or anything it sounds like a pogo issue. :-\
Ty for your help homer, it has to be another of the famous pogo glitches. I solved close to 150 puzzles and the first 70 or so were by myself, without the shortcut....I still only have 1 badge of the 3. So even if i was playing on easy level I should have at least 2 badges allready....Maybe someone else has some idea whats going on. Thanx again Homer
Your welcome. Wish I could be of more help. :)
Hey Philly, are you doing the same case again? I was doing one case over again. I don't know if this helps but you have to do case #1, #2, #3. I think I was repeating case #2 and going nowhere.
Nope, I was doing them in order. It just isnt giving me credit for the progress I have made. I just had to finish the same puzzle 4 times to get the second badge. It says Ive finished 140 puzzles in my stats. That should be well over 2 badges even on the Easy setting. And atleast half of those 140 were on the hard setting.
PhillyDogg,
Pogo will allow one to continue playing on the same case even after it is completed. After one gets a badge, one has to explicitly select a new case; otherwise, one does not advance toward any badge.
I did not play on the hard level, but the game reliably advances on the medium and easy levels provided one is playing for a case one has not yet completed.
I'll try to explain this better. I finished the first case on the EASY setting (Disappearing Act). Then I started on the second case (Lost Soul). Then I read the tip we are talking about in here. I changed the difficulty setting to HARD and the tip/shortcut works great, BUT......When I finish a puzzle, It shows that my progress has advanced. For example, I'll go from 34% to 41%. After I finish the next puzzle it says the same thing....41%. Its another pogo screwup. It might have to do with switching the difficulty setting in the middle of a case. >:(
homer i read your helper and how do you refresh the game?
i was a bit lost with that
just wanted to add to this shortcut....

Have no idea what your talking about. ??? I did not post the shortcut on this subject.
does anyone else keep getting booted out of the jigsaw rooms doesnt matter if its a few people in the room or a lot I put together a couple puzzles and than get booted and it takes forever for it to load just wondered if anyone else had this problem >:D
No problems here. :)
well darn :'(
LIL, not sure if this will help but i have suggested to several people in the room that were having probs with the game that they turn the sun java off and just use the Microsoft VM. It seems to be fixing all of the problems that they are having with Jigsaw.
someone in a room suggested piling all the pieces in a small pile and while the yellow outline is still on the pieces, right and left click your mouse at the same time and it puts the pieces in order
it works and my times were all under 3 minutes
Not really a shortcut but a tip:
I found when doing puzzles on hard I could just right click the pieces rather than use the rotation tool.
phillydogg I get the same problem too. I got the first case to 97%. Played several hard hand, medium, and easy to not advance. I do notice that if you get a puzzle pic (the one with a black background) and then you play your puzzle and they give you another one, you won't get any % points. I eventually completed case 1, left the room, went to another, back to 97% again. Completed case 1 a second time and got a badge this time around. Worked on case 2 and 3, got them both over 50%. Case 2 I even got it to 70+%, left the room for a break. Came back and both cases % got knocked way down again. I don't know if you get penalized for using these tricks or not, but I am getting tired of playing this game to not get any progress. Definitely a pogo glitch, not your computer. >:( :-\
i got all 3 badges within the first 2 days or so, doing the pull down treatment, and going in and out of room, um 32 puzzles for the first badge at med, 32 for a total of 64 puzzles for the 2nd on med, i did not ck how many it took to do the third, i was kinda sick of the game at that point
WOW~~~!!!!
WTG usnavy, that tip works GREAT!!! O0
The only thing i would add, is to put the pile in the bottom right hand corner of the main board, then build from there.
Also, I just tried it on the hard level. It works great there. Just rotate the piece till it fits, then move your connected pieces up a little, then rotate and it connects itself. That way you can make 1 row a t a time from top to bottom then connect your puzzle on the left.
Thank You for the tip!! Works awesome!! You Rock!! O0
One more little tip. If you watch, when you use the magnet at the beginning, your time will not start. So do all your magnet work first then do your puzzle fitting. This way your time stays low. Once you touch a piece without the magnet your time begins.
Dammmn ty usnavy, saved my like 2 mins reloadin the friggin game!
QuoteI rock don't I?
(https://img25.exs.cx/img25/8440/whistle1.gif)9 posts up,the tip was floating around the rooms.
keep rockin on though, tips come in handy
Thanks to all for the tips...they came in handy and VERY helpful!! ;D
i am on puzzle 2 and i got to 50% and i left the room and when i came back i was back to 25% WTF can someone tell me if this is a pogo glitch ot not or do i have to stay in the room to complete the puzzle?
I tried the shortcut using the magnifying glass to pile all the pieces inside it and clicking the L and R mouse, but nothing happens. Can anyone help me?
this shortcut works for me. are you clicking both the right and left at the Same time while the magnetcircle is around the pile.
dvargo63 click the magnet at the top of the screen to stack the puzzle pieces together.
The glitch for Jigsaw Detective is not working for me and I was wondering when are they going to have a cheat for it. 8) :D :) >:D O0
Are you stacking the pieces on top of each other? Once you have done that use the magnet and while holding down the left mouse button to pick up the pile hit the right mouse button while still holding down the left mouse button. This puts the pieces in easy order for you to connect them. O0

Just wanted to add, that there's no need to leave the room with 2 seperate piles. Once you get both the border pieces and the inner pieces stacked in 2 piles, simply take the magnet and place one pile directly on top of the other. THEN leave the room. When you come back, you just connect the pieces in order from the bottom right corner to the top, all the way across the board.
Why bother reloading the game? Just stack the pieces using the magnet and leave the magnet on then hold down the left mouse key to pick up the pile then click the right mouse key and they are put in order without leaving the room. :)
I've read about all the hints for this game and they are cool. I was wondering does anyone find the puzzles repeat them selves? I was working on this one puzzle solved it normally like with no tips and then progressed. But if I solved three puzzles for example, then did the cheat it would take me back to the first one that i did out of those three, and lost my progress. Does any one have any advice on how to get past this. I'm really getting sick of the same puzzle every second or third game. I just want to solve case one, so I can get the other two badges also.
i've noticed the puzzles repeating but i've never lost any progress. :-\
if you click back to main you will see a matchbox that says change puzzle the option to do that is after each puzzle you solve. or if you hit new game. good luck this should at least let you choose which puzzle you want to repeat if you havent unlocked a new one to play.
Yes the puzzles do seem to repeat frequently. :-\
i just started case #2 using this trick. it works great and I got half way through it doing the puzzles on hard from the beginnning. Then it showed me what my next puzzles was going to be, but it wasn't the same one. I left the room, came back, and i was down to about 35% from 50%. This started happening more and more frequently, I have now been knocked down from 50% or so to 35-45% about 4-5 times. This is getting very frustrating. I tried leaving after each puzzle and starting a new puzzle instead of bringing up the last one I did...this didn't work either. I tried switching to different rooms after each puzzle...this didn't work either. I saw in an earlier post that someone thought it may have to do with switching difficulty, but it doesn't because I started on hard level and never changed it.
Has anyone figured out a way to get past this?
I had a problem like this too
What ended up happening was when i got so far on case 2 or 3 and left the room and then came back later to finish it it reset and i had to start all over.. this happened about 4 times then i got the catch that i needed to finish it all in one shot.. took about an hour but i had breaks.. just keep the room open and work your way slowly, but listen to some music or something it will go by faster. Thats the ONLY way that worked for me..
so basically you do it all in one shot, but do it on medium difficulty and you should be done in 20-25 puzzles or so
Goodluck O0
I've been doing mine on medium difficulty without any problems. :) Maybe I'm just lucky. ;)
Yep Probably ;) ;D
I dont know maybe it has to do with something that we cant explain .. well at least i couldnt ::)

Mine is working just well just like yours is Homer and I used you tip and I do it in less time, but I will never get close to the time's everyone is saying they are doing it in. But I am happy to say I finished the game and waiting on the next on to be posted. So maybe I'm just lucky also ;)
Once I start a puzzle I don't change any settings at all. I just wait until I'm finished. :)
Hey thanks for the tips. it really works. I can do a Puzzle on hard in around 5 Min's. I still have a problem with the game though. I can usually do a about 2 puzzles and then when it goes to load the next one all i get is a blank board...... so i leave the room and go back and i then loose all my progress and seem to have to start over.. I though that it might be my computer that was running slow so i did a hard drive defrag and it still messes up....
Well, I'm not sure if i figured out the problem or not, but it seems that it is related to playing on hard. When I was using the trick while playing on hard level, I would lose my progress everytime I left the room. Today I switched to medium, finished out the case and got my badge. I took a screen shot of my case progress and badge window, just in case I lost them when I left the room. I left the room, came back and OMG!!!! I still had them!!!
So I think its safe to say that if you want this trick to work without losing any progress, stay on medium level. It may not seem as fast, but I found that without having to rotate the pieces I can just connect the pieces right from the pile just by hovering the pieces over the pile. I do one row at a time, then connect the entire row to the rest of the puzzle. With this methond I can complete the puzzles in 60-75 seconds compared to 2-3 minutes on hard.

Pogo fixed all the glitches this morning ... i hear a helper is on the way tho.
Might take them a little longer due to all the fixes pogo made. >:(
Yeah, messed up my Jigsaw auto (JigSpy)--
used to solve the puzzle on medium level in 3 seconds... All that time went for nothing lmao
(it did get me all my badges though)
Hope badgehelp makes his soon...
Since ZW aint gunna make ne more hard games really he said.
That was a bummer that they fixed the glitch. >:(
If they are so concerned about a little thing like that, then maybe they should get their act in gear and fix the real game problems. For example showing you one picture and giving you another instead of the one they showed you. Or this when you get to the clue and you have to solve 2-5 different ones before you get the actual one that give you the clue. Maybe they should also fix the progress too. Make it stay they where you left off instead of taking some of it away.
But I guess that is pogo for you...

What was JigSpy and where did you get it from? I think we were all using the stack method and right and left clicking to get the pieces in order. I never heard of JigSpy before.

Hi Everyone!
I was just in Jigsaw Detective and discovered that I can still pile all the pieces on top of each other and hover the top piece around to connect them all. I had read that this no longer worked, but it worked for me today and I did 11 puzzles.
Just thought I'd let you all know!

Explain in detail.. I have tried this MANY times in MANY rooms, Club & non Club too & it hasnt worked
The part that doesn't work anymore is piling and sorting via the left click right click process.
What top piece do you hover over the other ones???? I can not still get it to work.
