Ladies and gents, the Amazing Race premiers again tonight @ 9pm (8pm CST) on CBS as they go back to the classic format of 2 person teams (11 teams total). I have no clue as to who the participants are as this is the 1st time I haven't looked beforehand but I do know this much... you're in for the best reality show out there today (yes, better than Survivor, Dancing with the Stars and anything else you can think of). After tonight's show, I'll give a quick pick as to who I want to win before they get eliminated on the 4th episode and have to re-pick my team. (heard the team of Danielle & Dani were really cute!)
I'm going to watch that after American Idol is over. I love watching The Amazing Race. This season does look good.
Im going to watch that but gonna miss the first 30 minutes of it...American Idols on O0
I never got into AR until last season with the families. I really enjoyed it .. I sorta watched last night but had other stuff going on so I couldnt focus.
I love the 'hippies' :D It would be cool to see them win O0

Just found out they're moving it to a better time slot: Wednesday 8pm. Ratings were getting too high for them to not keep it out of the late night slot! Now it's back in Prime Time and ratings will soar even higher!
oh darn i kind of liked that fact that it was on at 10pm. cause i could watch all of my other shows and did not have to switch between channels

Ok Hippo I watched it today. You can't look here till you watch so I can talk about it. Since this is the first season I have watched it, its actually some what educational.
It was really good today! Monica and her honey, they were really mean with canceling everyones cabs...but it was funny for them to think of doing that. Although it didn't help them at all. Everyone was there at the same time anyways. But boy did they have to pay the price..LOL
The dingleberries put them on the time glass wait. And your friggen dingleberries slid again this time. They came in last but they got the same thing they got last time they were in last. They have no money and hardly any clothes again. There 2 whacked individuals. I can't believe those are your favorites, but then again I can.
I hated to see the older couple go. I thought they were great. I like the hippies too, and of the teams left, I hope they win. The frat boys are rotten cheaters (although I liked them initially.. the cab-cancelling stunt was just sooooo uncalled for..), and MoJo are just annoying. I wouldn't be disappointed to see Ray and Yolanda win, although I hate the way they treat each other.

I was trying to remember the MoJo name when I was telling what I had thought about the show. I like Monica. She acted like I would of acted when they got the yeild thing. I would of been complaining and whining too :))
Hippo likes the dingleberries also. ( hippies) They're to far out there for me.
I liked Fran and Barry also...You know what I thought was neat about those two? There in there 60's been married forever and you can tell they are still so in love and full of energy. It made me feel all mushy inside watching them.

ROFL, so I watched it today and glad I got a chance to read your review AFTER I saw it. I don't like MoJo and was happy when the Hippies yield them. I'm not worried about MoJo trying to return the favor since there is only 2 yields per race and that was the second of the two. I think MoJo should have came out and said it was the Frats who actually cancelled the cabs and they just run out of luck when their taxi didn't arrive either. I was pissed when I saw BJ (I think that who it was) slid at the end. He could have ran the same way everyone else did and finished ahead of Monica but now they're in last AGAIN, lost all their belongings and money AGAIN, and from the look of things, won't have any shoes to start the next leg of the race. Sadly, whoever arrives last next week will be eliminated since they always save the last non-elimination for the last pitstop before the finish line. Congrats to Ray & Yolanda for finishing in 1st this past week. I hope they are one of the final 3 teams.

Whoo hoo, everyone is rooting on my fav team this season. Nice to see them in first after they started in last place, had no money, no shoes, no pants and had to take a different later flight than the rest of the teams! Now it's on to win next Wednesday in the 2 hour finale. Honestly, as much as I want the Hippies to win, I want the frats to lose big time.

On weekends my chauffeur comes and take me shoppin.... durin the week my cook prepare my meals.... My pilot takes me to Paris when I wanna go... he's always on standby.

I am sooo embarassed to admit this, but I will.. the coal miner and his wife are from Stone, KY. That teeny little town in Pike County is exactly 8 miles from the house where I was raised, across the border in WV. My high school boyfriend actually lived in Stone. Of course, he ended up being a nutcase. A week before I went off to college, he trapped me in his bedroom, held a gun to my head and said, "You ain't goin' to no college. Yer stayin' right hyarr with me and havin' babies!" That's when my rough-ass cheerleader best friend stepped in and slapped the tar outta him (as they say back thar) and took the gun out of his hand. He was so stunned, he didn't know what to say. Well, Amy Leigh learned to drive my stick-shift Volvo in about 10 seconds, and we were outta there. Of course he stalked me at school for a while, until the butthead was arrested and a restraining order was issued. :D

I love the show, and I really am so proud of the girl with the disability, amazing job on her part I say, he gave her such great support what an amazing man himself. They deserve it (I think).

I don't like the way she uses her disability as a reason to board the plane first, get a cab over someone else, or things like that. I think her wall-climbing and such was incredibly admirable, but I think she needs to be a bit more humble. I do hope they go far, though.

gawd it's hard for me to keep up with which race is which, since GSN is running old races back to back, and tivo is scoopin them all up! I watched the entire season 3 AND the entire family edition this past weekend!
The Kentucky people were last but they got lucky and got another chance. They have to come in 1st place next week and if not, they have a 30 minute wait at the end.
I like the new rule with the non elimination thing. Better then taking their possessions and money away. Plus people were getting wise to the rules and would put all of their clothes on in layers so all they really lost was their money. I didn't like last season when the "hippies" blackmailed the other racers with the threat of yield if they didn't give them money or clothes. IMO they didn't deserve to win after that.

I swear they rig the show to give whoever they want nonelimination. I thought there were only 2 per season and the coalminers got them both. Then this one for the Barbie's. Makes no sense but maybe I am mistaken. I was holding my breath at the end hoping they were going home.
I thought that as well, that there was only two per episode. I am no fan of the barbies but I must admit they do play the game pretty hard and want to win. It kinda motivates them I think. If I was in there shoes I would do just aboot anything to win. I think those cho brothers -however u spell it. Where pretty whipped...they should have known better but what can ya say. I can indeed say that I would do whatever it took to win. So I would have to say those blondies are indeed impressive even if they suck as people. :)))

Between the last three left, I didn't care who won. Didn't like either won. The two best friends, were only there cuz they got help most through the game, the couple that were married or dating which ever, always were fighting...and the guys were just weird. The preview for the next race said it starts in February and it is an All Star's with the contestants still a secret. That should be fun.

I hope Rob and Amber are in this one, cuz I just loved them to death. I love that boston accent. My sweetie is from NY and he sorta has it. Man when I heard him on the phone for the first time, I almost started to laugh myself outta the chair.....*gets gooesbumps* hehehe. I just heard somewhere that Rob and Amber are getting their own reality show. Something about how Rob is trying to make a go of it as a professional poker player. Looks like he is going to blow all of their winnings from their "other" reality shows. Good grief, enough already.

I saw a preview of a hour long show of just Rob and Amber, it had something to do with Rob in a poker game (for alot of money) and he has to decide whether to stay in the poker game or go to Amazing Race...lol I don't when it comes on or what channel, but it will have to be before Sunday. yeah we have it here too. Just alot of reruns from all the past shows and some new ones. Not much to brag about though. I have watch a couple of shows but I always forget to keep up with them. You know its hard to keep up with primetime t.v. and pogo at the same time. :))
I watched the first episode of their show, and it pretty much sucked. Rob decided he wanted to move to vegas and become a professoinal poker player, amber was horrified. He went to vegas and signed up for a poker tourney and immediately got all stupid. Bet all in on like the second hand and lost his :o0

I totally agree wif ya there. That they are snakes - very cold snakes. However they make the show sooo much fun to watch and it's great to see how bad that they want to win, to actually sink that low and be so rude to others. I mean I can assure you that if I was in that race I would do anything - mark my words anything to help me win. An I think that's sumwhat how to play the game. Sure it doesn't make you a likeable person, but hey who's laughing there way to the bank. Cuz it seems like being snakes like they are, helps them along. I'm sure there are downsides to the whole thing - YIELDING of course would not go on there side I'm sure, if they don't get to it first. Great show - Luv it

He is good looking I think, but I love more his accent. I just giggle at those accents. I remember first talking with my sweetie who's from NY, it was actually I think the year Rob and Amber were on Survivor or the AR - can't remember but yeah and I amost burst out laughing when he first said hello on the phone, I could so much hear Rob's voice LOL, all good Rob's a good player, he'll do what it takes to win, but sumtimes not enough. I think AR did a bad job by letting Rob and Amber get elimanated this week. Seems to me that's been the whole talk about this season, is Rob and Amber. Now that they are out of the race, what's left??? Seems like they just cut off the main players of the show and also many viewers who just watched to see how far they would go or jus how backstabbers they were. My opinion

Rob and Amber Mariano, The Amazing Race: All-Stars
The southernmost tip of Argentina — aka the end of the world — marked the end of the road for professional reality stars Rob and Amber Mariano. The couple — who met on Survivor: All-Stars, were engaged on the Amazing Race 7 and married on yet another reality show — seemed to be the team to beat on CBS' The Amazing Race: All-Stars, winning each of the first three legs. But following a fluke series of unfortunate events (one of which involved the spelling of "Philippines"), they lost their lead and came in last. TV Guide spoke to the pair the day after their elimination aired. As you might expect, they vowed "Romber" may be down, but never out.
TV Guide: "Romber" losing was a huge surprise, especially after you won three legs in a row. Do you think you were getting a little too comfortable?
Amber Mariano: We were definitely on a high, excited about doing so well. But we also know that The Amazing Race isn't necessarily a race from start to finish. Each leg is its own race. So we started each day with a new outlook: "Here we go!"
Rob Mariano: Yeah, I don't think we got comfortable. Honestly, we were frustrated because there's a lot you really don't have any control over. Like the crapshoot challenge that you have to find your letter in a stack of 1,600. There's no skill to it. There's no anything besides luck that's going to make you find your letter before somebody else finds theirs. It's random.
Amber: You can't prepare for that. It has nothing to do with strength or smarts or anything.
TV Guide: Did you shed a tear during the letter-sorting? It looked like your eyes were red.
Amber: [Laughs] They were probably just red from not sleeping for the past week.
Rob: Yeah, I wasn't crying. Believe me.
TV Guide: What, Rob doesn't do tears?
Rob: Nah.
Amber: Sometimes. But he didn't cry then.
Rob: I don't think I've cried since I was, like, 7.
Amber: We smiled the whole way to the finish line because we knew we were eliminated. It wasn't a surprise to step on that mat and have Phil tell us we were in last place.
TV Guide: How much time was there between your finish and Charla and Mirna's?
Rob: Maybe 10 or 15 minutes.
Amber: Yeah. Before we even opened our letter we knew we were the only ones left.
TV Guide: Correct me if I'm wrong, but in your last leg of the race you took Uchenna's directions, stole Charla and Mirna's cab, and then lied to them about the clue box. Was this karma coming back to bite you in the butt?
Rob: Let's set the record straight: I didn't steal Uchenna and Joyce's directions. I simply came out of the airplane bathroom and the flight attendant handed me a piece of paper. That's not my fault. If it's anybody's fault, it's Uchenna's fault for asking for directions and not standing and waiting for her to hand them to him.
Amber: Yeah. Rob didn't even know what he was getting when he got it. But he just took it.
TV Guide: Why would the flight attendant hand you something someone else had requested?
Rob: I have no idea. We all got on the plane at the same time and there were a bunch of camera people there.
Amber: Plus the flight attendant doesn't know that we're in a race. She probably thought we were all traveling together
TV Guide: And what about the cab?
Amber: We figured out where all the cabs start coming in, and figured, "Let's start walking in that direction."
Rob: Charla and Mirna said, "Oh, we should call a cab." But they never actually called a cab. The whole story is this: Whenever we arrive at an airport, some teams get stopped and have to go through customs. It's completely random. Originally, we were the first ones out of the airport, but then our camera guy gets stopped. So now we're the last ones out of the airport. When we got out, there were no cabs left, so I immediately took Amber and started walking up the only road coming into this place. Charla and Mirna started walking literally 10 seconds behind us. So that was made up.
Amber: And even if it was their cab, there's nothing written in the rules that says you can't take another team's cab. Rob and I play by the rules, and the rest of the game is up to you.
TV Guide: Rob, when did you realize your mistake in spelling "Philippines"?
Rob: When I saw it on television. Because despite what you saw on TV with the voice-over where Phil says teams must spell the words correctly, that was never communicated to us.
TV Guide: OK, let's switch topics. When do you plan on taking the trip you won to Whistler, Canada?
Amber: To tell you the truth, we were there last February and absolutely loved it, so maybe we'll go back next winter sometime when it snows really, really good.
TV Guide: Are you going to keep your other goodies — the motorcycles, the home gym?
Amber: We haven't thought about it too, too much. But I have a hard time picturing Rob and I on off-road dirt bikes.
Rob: Maybe we'll trade them for jet skis or something.
Amber: Because we live by the ocean, we've always talked about getting some jet skis, so maybe that's what we'll do.
TV Guide: We got a glimpse of your home on Rob & Amber: Against All Odds. How many bedrooms do you have?
Rob: Four.
Amber: But one of the bedrooms is not a bedroom, it's like an office. It's a perfect house for the two of us.
TV Guide: Not to sound like your mother or anything, but are you planning on putting any children in those other bedrooms?
Rob: Eventually.
Amber: We definitely would love to. One day. So, we'll see. When it happens, it happens.
TV Guide: How have you spoken to Susan and Patrick? Their letter was brutal. They said, "I hope this finds you lost, hungry and in last place"!
Rob: It's funny because when we read the letter, Amber and I looked at each other and were like, "Who are Susan and Patrick?" They're mad at us, but we had no idea who they were. We had to come home and look them up on the computer.
TV Guide: How does it feel to be a team people loved to hate?
Both: It's great.
Amber: We loved it. It works for us. That's why we are where we are today.
Rob: The bottom line is that when Amber and I go on TV shows, it creates a stir. And every reaction, whether it's positive or negative, does one thing, which the TV networks see, and that is, it brings in viewers. So as long as that's happening, we're doing our job.
TV Guide: How much were you guys paid to do TAR: All-Stars?
Rob: We can't talk about specifics. But we got paid a lot of money.
Amber: Yeah.
TV Guide: Unlike the regular race, where I'm assuming people don't get paid.
Rob: I can't comment about other people. But CBS made it very well worth Amber and I coming back.
TV Guide: How worth it? Are we talking Lexus sedan worth it, or Toyota Camry worth it?
Rob: Well worth it.
Amber: We have smiles on our faces.
TV Guide: So what's next for Rob and Amber?
Rob: We actually have a very big project coming up. It's going to be frustrating, but we can't talk about it now. But I promise you when you hear it, you will know about it and remember how big it is.
TV Guide: Does this project involve cameras following you?
Amber: We can't really say anything.
Rob: It's not what you're used to seeing us doing, but it's going to be big.
TV Guide: Does it involve a television network?
[Both laugh]
Amber: You're prying.
TV Guide: It's what I do. But I'll back off. Mary said you taught her to swim at the elimination station in Acapulco.
Amber: She's always been afraid of the water, but I think she always had it in her, it's just a matter of somebody making her face it. I used to teach swimming lessons when I was in college, so I got her in the water and taught her how to survive in the water. Hopefully she'll teach her kids. It is an important skill to have.
TV Guide: Rob, did you teach anyone how to play poker while at the elimination station?
Rob: No. I just tried to take their per diem money. But we had a good time. We had fun there.
TV Guide: So far TAR hasn't left South America. Is there any place you would have liked to have gone?
Rob: We went all around the world the first time. The only continent I haven't been on is Australia, so I would have liked to have gone there.
TV Guide: Amber, what did you think about the way Eric talked about Danielle's boobs all the time? I thought it was really honorable how, when they did a comparison, Rob never spoke of you that way.
Amber: I'm not sure how Danielle feels about it. But if it was me, I'd be a little bit uncomfortable. But who knows, maybe she's completely comfortable with the way he just puts them out there like that. If she's OK with it, then I won't think anything of it. But I know if I were in that situation, I wouldn't appreciate it very much!

didn't ur momma ever tell you that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder?? Cuz for myself I don't see them as *Cute* - one of them appears to have a strange thing about her face. I don't know which is which cus for me I can't stand there "Attitude". So I am unaware between the two as to who has the weird glitch *or whatever you wanna call it* with there face, but to me looks don't matter. I think they jus have a wierd look on life an tend to treat people with poor respect and manners. My two cents on the matter. If they win, I don't care cuz it appears to me the money will be used in ways for themselves to make themselves more loved *so they think* or more desireable.....I would like to see a person who wins and actaully puts sum sort of the money to good cause, an not jus only for themselves.

I was so happy they had that 20 minute lead at first, but actually it didn't matter. When they got to the U.S. they were all tied up again. They just couldn't paddle that boat fast enough.
Did you see that new show they keep showing in the commercials starting May 31st called the Pirate something? Kinda looks like Survivor. I will probably watch it...it looked good.
