"The Ginchiest" is a phrase from a Ed "Kookie" Burns & Connie Stevens song.
Hardly a word, but an amusing way to show affection.
It comes from the song below:
KOOKIE, KOOKIE (LEND ME YOUR COMB)
Edward Byrnes & Connie Stevens
CONNIE: Kookie, Kookie, lend me your comb. Kookie, Kookie?
EDWARD: Well now, let's take it from the top & grab some wheels
& on the way we'll talk about some cuckoo deals.
C: But Kookie, Kookie, lend me your comb. Kookie, Kookie?
E: Now you're on the way, miss, & I'm readin' you just fine.
Don't cut out of here till we get on Cloud 9.
C: But Kookie?
E: I've got smog in my noggin ever since you made the scene
C: You're the utmost!
E: If you ever tool me out...dead, I'm the saddest, like a brain
C: The very utmost. Kookie, lend me your comb. Kookie, Kookie?
E: Man, I got my bruise lighters in my flapsy-colored pen
You're gonna send me to that planet called...you know it, baby, the end!
(sax solo)
C: Kookie, Kookie, lend me your comb. Kookie, Kookie?
E: If you ever cut out, you might be a stray cat
'Cause when I'm flyin' solo, nowhere's we're on that!
C: Kookie, Kookie, lend me your comb. Kookie, Kookie?
E: What's with this comb caper, baby? Why do you wanna latch up with my comb?
C: I just want you to stop combing your hair...& kiss me. You're the maximum utmost.
E: Well, I beans & I dreams goin', I'm movin' right now
'Cause that's the kind of scene that I dig...baby, you're the ginchiest!
Maybe you should try a babushka? :P

The only reason I remember it is because I used to watch "Married With Children" and Ed Burns had a cameo on the show where he sings the song. I still dream of Kelly Bundy in one of her micro minis. (https://www.pogocheats.net/proxy/?http://www.sofrayt.com/survey/bonus/dancing11.gif)
oooooohhhhhhhhh homer. shame on you - lorl. i used to watch that show religiously and dont remember that scene. i love to sit and watch the reruns now.
oh and barbara, i can majorly relate to the hair in a bun. i keep mine in a ponytail most of the time and when the fans are going i gotta do the bun thing too. also when i go bowling i gotta do the bun thing too, it gets pretty warm but thats the best solution next to chopping my hair off - which in case is TOTALLY out of the question.
but back to the origional subject, you are the best barbara. you are always willing to lend a helping hand whenever possible and always know the right time to make someone grin. keep up the GREAT work barb! O0 O0 :) :) :D :D
Don't you know by now.....Homer has no shame. :P
sorry, i forgot. i guess im still too new to remember something like that 8) :P :-\.

Barb, I read that Coldstone has a new flavor... Ginger Wasabi... :o
Myself, I'm sticking with the Cookie Dough...
Good luck with the Chocolate.
The July Special Flavors are:
Wasabi Ginger
Black Licorice
Tooty Fruity
Oatmeal Cookie Batter
Tangerine Sorbet
Just my contribution to the Barb tribute. You deserve it.

ty motley.........I'm going to look through my files..i believe i have one for a chocolate raspberry truffle cake
Barb, it has completely subsided. The first thing I ate after I was able to chew again was chocolate. It was like reuniting with an old friend.
here it is.....
CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY TRUFFLE CHEESECAKE
1 1/2 c. (about 18) finely crushed creme-filled chocolate cookies
4 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted
1/3 c. seedless raspberry preserves
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/4 c. whipping cream
Combine cookie crumbs and butter and press onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan. Combine 3 of the 8 ounce packages of cream cheese with the sugar, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Blend in sour cream and vanilla; pour over crust.
Combine remaining cream cheese and melted chocolate, mixing at medium speed on electric mixer until well blended. Add preserves; mix well. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of chocolate cream cheese batter over plain cream cheese batter; do not swirl. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan; cool before removing rim of pan.
Melt remaining chocolate pieces and whipping cream over low heat, stirring until smooth. Spread over cheesecake. Chill. Garnish with additional whipping cream, whipped, raspberries and mint leaves, if desired. Serves 10-12.
