Yes, they do and they will announce when this happens.  Welcome to the site and please do not post in all caps.

If they did have a 2-for-1 sale, I know I'd be buying Thunder Popper... the free trial was short, but oh so sweet.  For now though I have to save my pennies.

And justBO, welcome to the board... why would you feel the need to remove yourself from the forum, just because someone let you know about the caps thing.  It's not a big deal.

Its not a rule i suppose, just etiquette, as on all internet sites, caps usually mean u are 'shouting'. But come back and join in the discussions. (you could use a bigger font maybe)

If you use Firefox as your browser you can increase the size of the page by holding down the CTRL key and hitting the + sign as many times as you need to make the page bigger. ;)

back to the topic for a minute.  not sure if it has already been addressed or not and i dont want to bother oscar with it and im sure there are a few others with the same question in mind.  it is just purely informational purposes only.  how exactly does the 2 for 1 sale work when you are one that has purchased them all already and you want to take part in the special offer?  we already get 2 for 1 so do we get 3 or 4 for 1 at that time or what?

Hmm, a bit of a temper tantrum?  Standard netiquette says that you shouldn't post in all CAPS, as it makes it look like you're shouting.  As Bob said, you can adjust the size of your text to show larger text.

Don't play the "But I'm blind" aspect, it won't work with me.  Why?  Because I AM legally blind, as well.  I have literally 10% vision in my right eye and only about 60% in my left eye.  And I still adjust things on my side before I ask others to accomodate for me.

No one said you had to leave, however, the hissy fit that you threw makes me sort of wonder if we might be better off...

That is one of the rudest post I have ever read by bear/douglas, I have yet to read anything useful from him, unlike the many many others in here that do nothing but there best to help people, Barb, Oscar, not everone knowns the computer inside out so do expect that they do, try to help not hurt, >:(

I can be rude a lot, that is for sure. I must admit, it's hard to understand how people think and why they do the things they do sometimes. People around me call me a "computer snob". It can be difficult at times to bridge the gap....

Okay, let's disseminate this from point to point.

Barb is a major blessing to this site and to fellow Pogo Badge Hogs.
Oscar, well, what can I say about him, except that he's full bore insanity on a computer.  Good guy, though.  :)
Bob, see Oscar.  :)
Max, see Oscar.  LOL

Some of my posts do border on rude, I'll grant you that.  However, it ultimately boils down to how other people are treated.

Walk a mile in my shoes before you out and out criticize me.  I do more than most people realize.  For example, did you even know that Mayhem and I are the ORIGINAL people that provided help solutions to Oscar and Jayson and WordzW (Now BadgeHelp)?  I forget how far back that was, but I know that it was shortly after I became a Pogo member, and I hit four years this year.

Further, did you know that I provide a chat room, totally free of charge, for PogoCheats and people needing help with BadgeHelp goodies?

Further, did you know that I own one of the chat servers that said chat room uses?

Further, did you know, that I do beta test things for Joe and Bob frequently?  My system is one of the pickest computers out there, just because of the protections I have in place.  If the auto works on my computer, it's just about guaranteed to work on anyone's computer.

Further, did you know that I run one of the internet's most successful sites devoted to teaching people about frugality and paying off debts?  Oh, nevermind the fact that this single site has helped 700 people pay off more than $6 MILLION dollars in mortgage and non mortgage debt?

Further, I develop SEVERAL web sites, all the while battling my own vision issues.  I deal with people that give me attitude day in and day out.

Walk a mile in my shoes before you decide to flame me.  I bet it'd change your whole opinion of what I do around the 'net.

Flame away, I'm used to it.

Well I don't usually put my two cents into these discussions.  But...

I have a friend that is a riverboat captain.  In his verbiage "You don't walk into someone's house and call their kids ugly".

From what I see, there was a question, two polite responses, then a dramatic pseudo attack.  I don't know how you could interpret Barb's response of "Please don't use caps" as threatening or rude.  Just the standard warning on a forum for a common error.

Barb, Oscar, Bear and Bob are all very helpful.  As long as your questions are polite.  There are examples within the past day of folks needing help that have been given above and beyond what can be expected on other forums.  Again, the point is to be respectful of those on the forum.

I am happy to be part of this forum.  Others get dragged down to the lowest common denominator by those who just feel the need to vent their spleen in a public forum.  This is a place where people can get their questions answered, as long as they respect the rules.

And I like that....

I for one really would never know how to adjust my computer, I think that only those who work frequently with computers and tinker around with it would know that.  I use my computer ALOT but only to play games or look up information and never knew you can adjust your computer to your vision specifications.  This may be this persons problem.  They probably figured that if they couldn't type where they could see it they need not be a part of this forum.   Sometimes when you are dealt lemons in life people react differently to it.  Some with vision problems may handle it well, others may not and even small things that remind them that they are handicapped will send them over the edge.  It is sometimes a little scarey to post especially if youre new.  If you sit back and read posts from a nonpartial point of view, some are very sarcastic but most are very helpful.  So just my opinion, no one needs to agree, its all good.  I read, and read and read all the posts and just seemed more one-sided with very few seeing maybe the view of someone that may have felt helpless.  That's just me.

Gee nik.....thanks.

Let's get a few facts straight.

1. You are not new to the forum. Your account was registered in February 2005
2. You activated your account tonight and were here for all of about 15 minutes and you see fit to try and tell us how to run this site.
3. An admin did reply to their post. I gave the person the benefit of the doubt that maybe they didn't really know.
4. If your here to start trouble, I'll be more than glad to show you the door.

This hoax was actually as annoying when it happened in chat several weeks ago.  Same Tuesday night, same question, same outburst, same son, who rose up out of bed to clarify this at 3 AM.  When asked why "sonny" would spring forth from the bed, the response was that he "wanted his breakfast."  Bob and Douglas spent a great deal of time, helping this person to adjust their screen settings to be able to see without all capitol letters being typed in.  Please have faith that the blind are not being attacked.  Enough time and energy has been wasted on this hoax and this topic.  It was clearly posted to stir crap and it seems to have accomplished that.  I spend 18 hours a day with the chat on and the same amount of time with the forum available to me.  I was busy with my badge day festivities and couldn't take the time to clarify all of this, and for that I apologize.  I think it is time we stick a fork in this one because it is so overly well done.  Douglas and I are both keenly aware of what happens in both chat and the forum and trust me, we see things that would make your toes curl.  The same person who would blow into chat and use words that would get them lava soap in the mouth, will come to the forum and post like butter wouldn't melt in their mouth and say that they were treated "badly in chat and got booted" when in fact, we never saw them until after the fact and we are still stinging from being told off, with no response from us, WHATSOEVER.

It is easy to sit there and see "Oscar is being mean to me and won't answer" and "I got thrown out of chat" and have the forum members respond to the "wounded duck."  Unless you are privy to Oscar's e-mail, you are in chat and the forum, simultaneously, then you don't know the whole story.  Yes, a forum is for all to speak and voice their own opinions and that is what makes communication such a wonderful experience.  I am going to cap this one experience off right now and tell you that this is utter BS and it isn't worth another word on this topic.
