Title: ThunderPoppper2 issues
Post by: MadmansSis on June 28, 2005, 05:12:54 AM
I used Thunderpopper2 as shareware - it was great - so I purchased it

Since registering - it loads ok - until I hit start - then it instantly says 'No Balloons left!'

Frustrating!!

tech info

Windows XP
IE
32 bit colour
1024 x 768
edges smoothed (if i need to change this please advise how)

I can't get my comp code back as the product says 'thank you for registering' - so i can't request a new code  :(

thanks for your help in anticipation

This is not a font dependant auto.  What java are you using.
Go to Internet Explorer>tools>internet options>advanced and scroll down and look at what java is checked.  Uncheck what you have and check the other.  Reboot and give that a try, please.

Pam, I really want this auto to work for you.  I understand your frustration completely.  I hate to repeat what someone has already suggested here, but your game has different "themes."  Try changing the theme screen and see if anything happens.  I always played the "classic" theme myself.

i have noticed that thunderpopper2 will only play on classic theme for me

i'm totally frustrated

I can't get a new code - cos my prog says thank you for registering

it loads ok - then i hit start

instantly 'No ballons left' - tho if i close TP2 - i can play

By any chance are you hitting the solve button? You should only need to hit the start button.

is there any way i can make the program show as 'un-registered'

so I can get a new code - i have emails confirming i paid

Why would you need a new code? It won't make a difference. It's still the same program.

I just tested the program. If you only hit the solve button it will just sit there. You need to hit Start to get the auto popping.

the shareware worked until i registered iti haven't changed anythng here - (and i'm the only one using my computer)

so....  it feels like an issue around the registration - I look for whats changed when i have problems - thats what changed

i hit START - then it says 'No Balloons left'

Pam, I want you to yank this bad boy out of your computer.  Look in your c drive and get it all out and then download it again.

You can email me a screenshot to homer@pogocheats.net

Be sure I can see both the auto and the game in the screenshot. Sometimes it helps if I can see what is or isn't happening. I'll take a look and see if it looks ok. If not do as Barb suggested and email BadgeHelp.

Be sure to cover up any pogo user info or URL.

Badghelp will likely have to help you at this point.  But I have two ideas.  Both are all just guesses. And neither involves any risk.

First: Go to www.download.com and get a program called regscrubxp.  It's freeware.  Run that bad boy. Even if this doesn't work, if you haven't cleaned up your registry lately it will likely help your computer.

Second  Download another browser.  I'd try Firefox, but that's my personal preference.  Try the auto with the other browser.

Like I said, I'm just guessing. I am NOT a representative of Badgehelp.

But neither of these suggestions should do any harm...  The first may actually help.

Otherwise I'm stumped along with everyone else..

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE finally I've got it working.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who gave me their time to try and help.

BIG HUG to Homer who spotted the problem - I had corrupt images of the balloons on my computer (the bottom halves were grayed).

I'd best get busy catching up on badges

Thanks again everyone, especially Homer

Ok, I bought thunderpopper, entered the password that was sent to me.  It worked just fine.  Then I closed it.  The next time I went to use it, it said the trial period had ended and I needed to register it.  I wrote and got a new password, worked fine until I closed it.  Now it is saying that I need to register again.
I have deleted and downloaded again, got a new password from Oscar.  It works until I close it.  It keeps resetting to unregistered.
Other helpers work just fine.  I am using winxp, 32 bit color, sun java and smooth font is not checked.
So far I have not had an answer from the badge help people as to what is causing the password not to stick.
Can anyone help?
thanks

For everyone...

You should have MSVM rather than Sun Java.  Go to the Club Center page to download it. Run Windows update afterwards. Go to Tools / Internet Options / Advanced and scroll half way down.  Uncheck all the Sun options and check all the sun ones.

Abc Monkey, did you try redownloading the program again?
