Title: matchmaker v 2.2
Post by: isew on August 09, 2005, 11:40:50 AM
Hi all..... >:(

I am still fighting with Matchmaker to get it to work properly.....I just changed over from Java Sun to MS VM and it still gets hung up...either the games stops , or it does....since there is no "report problem" on this, how do I report a problem........frustrated, yes!   :'(

I really would love to be able to walk away or sleep at night knowing that this one will keep on going like the energizer bunny.

And to Barbara, I did do the report problem for the Flinkin Pharaoh, and have not yet gotten an answer, would really love to buy that one.

I'll speak to Bob about the FP problem report.  As for this auto, could you post your computer specs please.

I'll speak to Bob about the FP problem report.  As for this auto, could you post your computer specs please.

1.  operating system is Windows XP
2.  Browser- IE
3.  Color Settings-Medium (16 bit)  Just changed this after reading FAQ on Pogo site- was on 32 bit prior
4.  Screen resolution-1024/768
5. smooth edges-checked
6.  what java-  MS VM  java console enabled, java logging enabled, JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled

after changing to the 16 bit the auto does not start at all, it just keeps telling me to start Perfect Pair in my browser, and Perfect Pair is already up and ready to go.

I sure hope to get this problem resolved....I wanna finish up these darn badges... :'(

could you put it back to 32 and tell me what happens, please.  Also, this may be th reason why PF is running poorly.  Please try them both.

ok , I put it back, the auto worked for 2 games, then it had 1 move left and it stopped working, it does this all the time.....don't know why???

Flinkin does not stop working, but the problem that I have with it is,

1.  It does not seem to make the smartest moves when knocking down the balls
2.  The balls get very close to the bottom, and in more instances than none, the game has to restart because of it....and I really do want to buy this one, but hesitate because of that.  What should I do? :)

1 move left in the Perfect Pair auto?  I am clueless.  Maybe someone else has an idea.  Let me call Bob and ask him about the Phlinx auto.

What level are you playing the game on? Cut it a break and play it on easy.

I thought i was the only one having that problem with match maker....it runs for awhile and then if i walk by it will have one pair of cards left to click off...i usually have to click them mysef and start the auto over.....this is the only auto i have a problem with and all my settings are the same as the person who previously posted....i will be interested to hear of a fix if any, i dont like to complain i am just happy to have the auto that works most of them time....

in phlinx it works best to play on the beginner setting.. no reason to play the hightest settings anyway. doesn't affect rank at all. i was having trouble with it too, and just realized a few days ago that there is a level that is easier than easy.. beginner.

in mm2.2 have you tried playing around with the lookahead and speed settings? that has helped me with previous versions. the 2.0 version works good for me, didnt realize there was a 2.2.

This is for Perfect Pair Solitaire, That game does not use your internet connection constantly, And I have found that with my DSL sometimes it will not finish because it no longer detects internet activity and kinda idle's out untill I open another web browser or something then it starts off again, This is what I do for almost perfect play, I open outlook express and set it to chk for mail every 3 minutes this keeps my internet activity alive and the game up and running. I use 32 Bit color with a resolution of 1024/768 and your visual effects turned all off, [adjusted for best preformance] as well as turning the games sound off, IE microsoft virtual machine. Good luck,  O0
