Please make sure to give as much information as you can when you have technical problems.

Here are some things that will help:

1) Operating system (Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP etc)
2) Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Opera etc)
3) Color setting (24 bit, 32 bit etc)
4) Screen resolution (800x600, 1024x768)
5) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked
6) What Java you are using
7) Is anything at all happening when you start the program

You get the idea the more information the better.

My Whomper works fine although I have found in TaskManager multiple instances (depending on how many times I have opened the program) of Whomper.exe which I have to manually quit the process. I tried it without the Word Whomp game up and in that instance it closed itself with no problem but as soon as I actually have the game up, after I exit the auto and the game itself from Pogo, I open Task and there it is still using memory. I have taken screenshots of it (3) to show that it is not closing after the auto itself is closed and if you reopen the auto it opens another instance so that I have had many instances listed in Task Manager especially when I get the "cripes" error from pogo. I also have set my IE browser to automatically dump temp files upon closing the browser which can be found in the tools, options, advanced then scroll down to security and check the box (which by default is not checked). But otherwise Im happy with that program. The ones that install themselves into the program files (which is NOT where I keep my autos) is another story.

The Cripes! error is a pogo error. You may be running the auto to fast. Try slowing it down to medium speed. Seems to work best with Sun Java. ;)
