Title: Note on BH website/for Oscar
Post by: helpmewin on October 08, 2005, 12:22:28 PM
** 10/08 update*** PenguinBobber has been updated. Delete the version you have and redownload. I have a utility that will delete every file you have downloaded from badgehelp.com. You will have to redownload everything. It will still recognize that you are registered. This is a good idea to regularly delete programs and redownload as we update constantly. If you are not good at computers or doubt you will be able to do this, do not run this file. Click HERE to download the file. Run it and wait for it to tell you it is completely finished. Again, after you are done, you will have to redownload every program you have downloaded from badgehelp.

The above note appears on the Penguin Bobber page.  Oscar, can you please explain exactly why we would need to do this?  I am in no way computer illiterate, but am half afraid to delete all the BH that I have.   ::)

Oscar correct me if i'm wrong ...

Some of the auto's leave files behind on your hard drive (after your run them).

These old files (if not deleted) could cause problems with new / updated versions of that auto.

I am running penguin auto from 9/15/05
It runs just fine.
Maybe there could be a link to download just the update without deleting all the files for people having no problems.

On the badgehelp page these are separate files so you can just download the update if desired :)

No it will not.  You must first delete all the autos, then run the "eraser" then re-download all your autos.

Some of the auto's leave files behind on your hard drive (after your run them).

These old files (if not deleted) could cause problems with new / updated versions of that auto.

You definitely love me with as much as you give to the cause....no doubt about that. You may have to take out a second mortgage at this point.

No morage here Oscar, may have to have the government up my disability checks though. Since I went and bought another computer. You know what that means ........... you will be hearing alot more from me. I definatly give to the cause.. let's see.. $10 / auto times 4 - $40 per purchase..... I have given thousands !!! Pay Pal loves me to.
