Title: Needing new codes
Post by: Country Lady on October 08, 2005, 08:35:46 PM
I have a new computer and am slowly adding the autos that I have bought.  In the past I have received the codes in short order.
Last night I went through the steps outlined on BH and sent the paypal receipt with the new coder for Whomper.
I haven't gotten the new password yet, almost 24 hours later.
Do I send it again?  I know that Oscar must have a life away from the computer so I don't want to keep bugging him.
How long should I wait to resend the information?
Thanks

Country Lady,  I think the rule of thumb that they say on the BH website is to expect a response within 30 minutes to 12 hours.  To be safe I'd say if you don't get a response within a day, recheck that you've followed the rules exactly and try again :)

Yes the rules were followed exactly.  I downloaded the auto, ran it until it expired, then went to paypal, copied the invoice where I paid for whomper.
I then went to BH and clicked on the link to re-register, I pasted the paypal thing in the body of the email.  I also included at the top of the message the new code from whomper.
I sent it about 9:30 p.m. my time on the west coast.
I was wondering if they did indeed get the email.  I've never had to wait this long before.  I've bought 10 or 11 of the autos, one at a time.  Can't convice my husband to let go of $150. all at once, so smuggle one or two a month in on him.  ;D
I'll wait a bit longer and then think about sending the information again.
Thanks

When I bought the package of auto's I found that my passcodes would be sent to me anywhere from 2 seconds to 18 hours after i sent in the info (most of them were much less than an hour). The few that I had a hard time with I eventually found were pretty much my fault...usually I had sent in the wrong registration #, transposed letters, etc. I found that if I copied and pasted the registration codes I made fewer mistakes but some of the auto's wont allow copying so make real sure you got the letters/numbers for you registration code correct...you may find that what you sent in was not quite correct. Just a suggestion

Its too bad you couldn't get your husband interested in the games, then you could have made him think it was his idea to get the package deal :)

Good luck.

Heavens, I don't want my husband trying to hog my computer!  I will be letting him have the old computer soon.  Have to get the wireless network set up first.  I play many of the games without an auto, so really don't need them all anyway.
I received the code just a bit ago.  Thanks Badge Help!

I made the mistake of not ordering them all in one package - it is definitely worth it.  Now I have to buy each one separately and the cost is a lot higher but that is my fault.  So, if you can afford it, buy the package.

Just a reminder for everyone. When emailing Oscar make sure it is a plain text email. That means no stationary, smilies or graphics of any kind. I've had people email me their receipts and they forget about the no attachments rule. If you are sending your emails with any of the items mentioned Oscar does not see the email because he only accepts text only emails. Messages with attachments are automatically filtered into the trash.
