Title: Trouble with Java
Post by: Byrdlady on November 12, 2005, 10:41:06 AM
I had to buy an Ethernet card for my cable.  It is made by Linksys.  Pogo is not compatible with Linksys. They reccommend downloading Sun Java.  I have done so, and am now able to access all the games... However, I can't use any of my cheats now.   :'(

Any suggestions?  Can Java be tweaked?

Help please!

Thanks!

That's strange. They should work with Sun Java. Have you tried MS VM?

Change your screen resolution to 1024x768 let me know what happens. It should begin to work.

Here are directions on how to do that.

Right mouse click your desktop
Click Properties
Go to Settings tab.
You will see your screen resolution setting.
If you move the slider bar one notch to the right it should change to 1024x768
Click Apply
Click OK

Your screen size will now change. Open up a game and auto and give it a try. It should work.

Just my 2 cents worth....
I had to install Linksys also, plus a Linksys router when I went with Comcast. Did you go to "Set Programs & Defaults" and click custom, then enable which Java you want to use?

Some programs are not compatible with Windows 98.

If you can possibly do so, it's time for an upgrade to Windows XP. Believe me, it's much more efficient and easier to use than Win 98.
