1) Operating system - XP
2) Browser -Internet Explorer
3) Color setting - 32 bit
4) Screen resolution - 1024x768
5) Smooth edges of screen fonts - unchecked
6) What Java you are using - sun and microsoft- tried both
7) Is anything at all happening when you start the program
I have tried slowing it down and tried different levels in the game. Same problem.
The auto starts and run fine for a game or two, then the windows error message pops up and wants to know if I want to send report to microsoft.
I've had this program for a long time and it has worked well in the past. I am now using a new computer and have had to download and re-register it.
I have sent screen shot and specs, awhile back but haven't heard if anyone knows what the problem can be.
Thanks guys
Country Lady
I hope some one can help me before next week, I really don't want to play that game. :'(
Have you tried changing your Color Setting to 24 bit? I hope that will do it for you Country Lady or you can always delete the copy you have for Pop Phooey and then redownload a new copy.
I haven't tried changing the color settings, but this is a new copy of the auto. I had to get it when I bought a new computer not more than a month ago.
Thanks
Country Lady
Something else I noticed is there are little numbers showing up ion the game window. They are at the very top left corner, next to the E for internet explorer. They don't do that on my old computer when the auto is running.
If I stop the auto they go away. I feel like something is tracking this auto and killing it for me :'(
I have the auto running on my old computer right now and it is working like a charm.
Both computers are running windows xp and sun java.
This is really bugging me. But I do know now that I won't have to play that game by hand next week.
Good Luck to you Country Lady on getting your Pop Phooey Badge for next week's challenge. O0
do u have the same version on both computers or is 1 an older version?
The one on the old computer is from Aug. and the new computer was downloaded again tonight, but they do look the same. The new download acts the same.
The new computer has version 2.0 and the old computer has the same version. I just checked. When I start the older one, a dos window pops up for a few sec. before it loads. Doesn't do that on the new computer. Might have something to do with the speed of the computers.
