Title: Pogo stealing tokens?
Post by: Spawn O Satan on December 10, 2005, 01:03:22 PM
I was playing ride the tide today, and doing quite well for a change. Got quite lucky with the "let it ride" feature getting 5,000 then 7,000 and then my greatest accomplishment of all: 11,284 tokens at once (my bet was 1,350 and i earned a x2 bonus card during play, then rode the tide for the huge win). Now this was all within the matter of 20min or so, so one would think that my overall token balance would have significantly increased.

wrong, of course.

it had dropped over 5,000 tokens. how is this possible after winning right there alone nearly 20,000? So i started to watch it more closely and realized that anytime i won more than 300 tokens at once, pogo would only give me credit for 1/10 the amount. if i won 450 tokens, my balance only increased by 45. anyone else notice this or am i the only unfortunate one?

whats the point of using the let it ride feature if they wont give you the proper pay out when you truely do win?

There is an issue w/ it...........this is what i sent and they replied...

I am not recieving all of the tokens for a let it ride bet, i should have won 1312 for the bet + 45 in the bonus game and +30 for a spin. I only recieved 101 tokens. This has been happening everytime I make a let it ride bet and win more than 200 tokens.  My stats are way wrong because I have not actually won that many tokens. This is a joke, if you want people to be able to get things with tokens you should let the game acutally pay out the correct amounts.

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting Club Pogo Support and for reporting this to us.

The Pogo development team is currently looking at an issue that can cause token payoffs to be too low. We don't have a solution yet, but hope to soon.  In the meantime, unfortunately, we're not able to credit any tokens that may have been 'lost' due to this issue. You may want to keep this in mind as you play, and bet low, or you may want to play another of your favorites for a few days.

If I can assist with anything else, please update this incident and let me know, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Sincerely,

I'm playing right now, and I am getting all my tokens. When you win big, remember, you've already received all the tokens other than that round. If that makes any sense..anyways, sorry to hear you're getting cheated out of tokens.

Can someone tell me when you the "Ride the Tide" button becomes available??  I always bet 10, always have the "always bet this amount" button clicked.  Do you have to win a certain number of hands?

Don't have the always bet this amount button on, keep it off...I think you mean the Let it Ride button, as well ;)

Let it ride button (if you use the button on the left hand side always bet 10 that won't give you the let it ride buttton. Just keep hitting max bet is 10 that should give you the let it ride button.

you have to "ride the tide" then after you win you can bet what you just won and try to get as much as 6x your original winnings

I agree.  We never can wait until the game comes out and then we complain because they don't have all the kinks out.  I still enjoy playing it and actually never even realized anything about the tokens until someone else mentioned it.  So I guess if tokens are a factor maybe wait until it is fixed and I am sure there are other games that you enjoy playing until then.

That's my bad... I just looked and realized that it is showing as a "New Release" at the top of the screen.

Yep, I think if they are going to release it, they ought to make sure big problems like that aren't going on- isn't that what beta testing is for?

they're openly saying theres a known problem with the game, yet havnt pulled it or at least put some kind of warning up there to make us aware. plus they go on to essentially say "just dont play our games then".  i respond suggesting that since they can't recredit us our tokens they should at least make good with either a free item from the mini mall or a free pogo tshirt for our inconvenience. stupid pogo.

I like how they sign each letter with a different person's name, like Pogo Alec or Pogo Nicholas, making it seem personal, like they took the time to read your concerns, go over it, and write you back a response.. when it's the exact same form letter for both. It's probably one guy who answers all the mails, and just inserts the pre-written reply that he thinks fits (or he tosses a coin to pick one), then signs it with a different "employee" name at the end.

I know what you are saying about losing tokens...was just playing www with whackster and as you know it does not go to the bonus round....the amount on the score board to the left would say one amount but when the auto hit the "new game" button and it was tallied up,I would have 80 tokens less than on what the score board had.But if I stopped the auto before it hit "new game" and did it myself, then I would get the same amount  on the tally as what was on the score board.I may be calling these things by the wrong name but I think ya'll know what I mean.Kinda hard to write pogo about it when you are using an auto...guess I will just have to suffer the loss of 80 tokens to get the badge.   ENJOY
