This is the easiest and best fudge recipe ever... the only hard part is the constant stirring.
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter (you can use margarine, but butter makes all the difference)
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 12-oz pkg chocolate or peanut butter chips
1 7-oz. jar marshmallow cream
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract (sounds like a lot but it really works)
Combine sugar, butter and milk in heavy 2-1/2 quart saucepan, bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, STILL stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in chips until melted. Add marshmallow cream, nuts & vanilla, beat until blended. Pour into greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Let cool and cut into 1-inch squares.
I have a hard time boiling water and even I can make this stuff... enjoy ;)
Thank you, I'll try it and report back :)
YAH~~~!! Bring on the fudge baby!
Thats the recipe I been using for years except I only use 1 teas. vanilla. This makes a lot of fudge too & is so good. I'm getting ready to make a pan of each tomorrow, lol. A suggestion is to use the milk chocolate chips & not semi sweet, the taste seems lot better. Definitely cures the sweet tooth! ;D
