Title: Hockey
Post by: Homer on December 23, 2005, 08:10:54 PM
Proclaim your allegiance now or forever hold your peace.  :P

I don't think I really need to tell everyone my team do I? (https://www.pogocheats.net/proxy/?http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/aiw/nhl4.gif)

With you on this one, Homer.. ya don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out who I root for. Pretty awesome couple of games in a row here the last 2 days. Beating Ottawa, the best team in the East and perhaps the league (and 2nd time this season I might add), and then playing the Pens, who may not be a good team points-wise, but they can be tough to handle especially on the 2nd game of a back-to-back.. had a 3-0 lead in that one, lost it, then came back and won it at the end! Great start to a brutal 11-game road trip.. what Einstein made that up? The longest ever in Flyer history, geez. At least there's not a ton of travel involved, mostly all east coast until the end of it. But it is so nice to have Forsberg and Gagne back together on the ice at the same time again! Here's hoping neither of them gets injured again the rest of the season!

And with that last victory, the Flyers have now officially leap frogged over the Rangers to take over first place in the Atlantic for the first time this season.. and still have 2 games in hand! Now that we've made that hurdle, it's time to put some distance between them and the rest of the division!

Acutally I'm a fan of 3 different teams.   ::)  As for Semi-Pro teams, I'm a Seattle Thunderbirds fan.  As for Pro teams, its a tough call for me between Pittsburg and Anaheim.

Penguins, without a doubt. Rival of your Philadelphia Flyers, Homer.  O0 It's all in good fun.

The only good Penguin is a dead Penguin.  :P j/k Actually Pittsburgh should be called West Philadelphia with all the former Flyers. :P

LOL, like I said, all in good fun. I agree with you though, about West Philly. I guess the test of a true fan is when their team is down in the dumpster, and you still stick with 'em.

Does homie like his Philly cheesesteaks extra gooey?  I sure do.  I was in Philly last summer and I'm very loyal to the true Philly cheesecake.  Out here in the west they are such pathetic looking and foul tasting things.  They are very shameful and don't deserve the name of Philly cheesestake. MMMMM.....they should be their own food group ya think?

Signs Your Round Draft Choice Was A Mistake

His guide dog isn't much of a skater.
Says he "wants to drink from Stanley's Cup."
His goalie mask is made from chicken wire, christmas lights and duct tape.
Opponents challenges him to "drop 'em" and he takes down his pants.

He has all his natural teeth.

6. Cinemas, while somehow just as cold as hockey arenas, just can't achieve the same
    enthusiasm levels. (And no funky-chicken)

3. Just not enough violence in football.

5. He valet parks the Zamboni.
4. For breakfast, he hands each kid a spoon and tosses an Eggo in the middle of the table.
3. Demanded credit for an assist when you slept with his best friend.
2. Favorite Restaurant: Dinner in a Blender
1. Talks funny and likes to beat up people, but doesn't come from Alabama

Top Ten Ways to Make Hockey More Exciting

10. During playoffs, players dress up as their favorite Ice Capades character
9. Canadians must play in bare feet
