I can not download Flanx. It starts but never finishes. I've downloaded several others but this on just won't go. I have Windows XP. I check my security no problems there that I can tell. I have VM java. Any on else have this problem?
Please make sure to give as much information as you can when you have technical problems.
Here are some things that will help:
1) Operating system (Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP etc)
2) Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Opera etc)
3) Color setting (24 bit, 32 bit etc)
4) Screen resolution (800x600, 1024x768)
5) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked
6) What Java you are using
7) Is anything at all happening when you start the program
You get the idea the more information the better.
XP
AOL
32 bit
1024x768
smooth edges unchecked
VM Java
Starts to download then quits, now all I get is a DOS screen and then a screen that says error 2 when I try to down load it.
Use regular IE not the AOL browser.
tried that got same error
Have you tried Sun Java?
downloaded sun java but how do you get it to work instead of virtual machine?
Tools
Internet Options
Advanced Tab
Scroll down and check Sun Java
Right below it uncheck Microsoft VM
now it starts to load then just sits there and does not finish downloading. This is after I switched to sun java

I have use a program called getright in the past to download files. It has the ability to resume broken downloads. (picks up where it left off) I am not sure if it will work with the badgehelp site or not, but it is worth a try. I would not use aol browser. It works well with IE.
