i dont think its no big deal if it goes up a few dollars. You are getting value for money, especially if your online many hours a day O0

you work out how much that is per day and you will see how little it really costs you over a year

if price does rise to $35.99 a year

you would pay 0.098 a day.

now where can u get fun for that price per day?

i agree we need better service in pogoland...but i didnt realize it was only .09 a day to play but i really dont want to pay more than i already do. but it could be new ppl and returning could still pay 29.99 that would be cool  ??? but knowing pogo since they have revamped a bunch of games they want to get more out of the players.....

My membership is over in about a month, and of course I am going to renew no matter if it does go up.  I just think as I said before they they could improve their service in my eyes.

There's a rumor that Club Pogo is raising their rates to $5.99 a month or $34.99 a year....is this true??  Or is it only for new members?  Or are prices staying the same?  Thanks!

Response (EA Dinesh U.) 01/15/2006 04:47 AM
Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

This is merely a rumor. Players sometimes misunderstand something, or speculate about something else, and someone else sees it, and thus a rumor is born! We recommend that you ignore it altogether and continue to play games as you have on Pogo. Whenever Pogo has an official announcement, we announce it in the appropriate place, depending on the context of the announcement.

If there is anything else we can do to help, please let us know.

Thank You,

This is just another way of pogo making more money. I think if the prices are going to go up we should be getting better service too. They already make enough money as it is and the service hasn't changed at all.

Ummm they're not raising the prices yet...........And like Caroline says.....even if they do, for 9 cents a day where else can you get that much fun....lets face it, Pogo doesn't go down that often, we all just make a big deal out of it when it does, myself included......If you think Pogo is bade, go try Slingdot, then you'll really see bad.

Once again I say.......if you think even a $5 increase in what you pay for pogo is horrible, go pay for a years subscription to Slingdot and then tell us what you think.  If your a current Club Pogo person your prices are even affected.  It's only for the new people.  I think if you look at most of the other gaming sites you'll see your getting a lot worse for a lot more cash......it's called inflation.  Prices rise.  It's life.  Deal with it.

I don't know what to think about the increase. Like someone said, the catch phrase, meaning at this time anyone on club pogo won't get the increase, but down the road we will.

My problem with the whole thing is, the customer service does sux, where is the priority of us paying members when the servers creep like a snail. Shouldn't we be the ones who are able to get on, instead of the non members?????

If down the road, they do increase everyones membership, I can't say if I will or will not pay for it. I pay for my moms as well. I think they'll keep increasing it whenever and there will be a limit to what I will pay. There is a thing called greediness and pogo is surely getting greedy.

Of course, this is my own Opinion.....

I've been on pogo for so many years, probably since the beginning of pogo. I enjoy some of their games, but the Customer service is non existence and that's where my problem Lies.

The customer service is not what it should be on Pogo, and I don't think that a price increase will have any effect on the service that we will receive either.  I think it is time for Pogo to not allow non paying people to play until Friday and let the people that pay get to play for the badges on the first 2 days.  Also when a new games comes up we, as paying members, should get a couple of days to pay it without the non paying people.  I have cable hook up and it is very fast but on Wednesdays I can't even get on to play until late in the evening if then.  There are just to many people on.  Some of the non paying people would then pay and become members so they would not have to wait and it would be a "win win situation" for Pogo.  They would get more member fees.  Come on Pogo think aout it!!

Do you really think all the non-paying members get together to form a group to play on Wednesdays in hopes they can overload the server?!?  NO.  It's every one of the PAYING customers that run to get their badges as soon as they are available instead of spreading it out over the 6 days that they give you to do it.  As for paying members getting to play new games before everyone else, the last 2 new games that have come out have been Club exclusive games, meaning the PAYING members are the only ones who get to play them, once again, not even affecting the non-paying members.  I for one have DSL service through Verizon and the only time I ever have problems getting onto Pogo, including Wednesdays, is when their servers go down.  Why does everyone insist on picking on the non-paying members???

my biggest issues are with the non paying teeny bobber 13-17 yr old crowd

you said it they always seem to go in the other rooms what mouth they have on them  nad boy they no everything lol i have seen some say if it wasnt for them pogo would be no members room i just set there and say nothing and then i let it reap

A friend/online sister of mine allowed her 16 year old nephew on pogo to play Texas hold em the other night. Well, needless to say, his filthy little mouth got her account banned for 3 days. My question is...why do kids feel like they need to use the 'f" word as if it were the "cool" thing to say, and furthermore, why do parents allow it? My mother would have slapped the taste out of my mouth and my son would be eating a bar of soap. If kids wanna talk like that, i say so be it...when they're 18 and out of the house. Then they will realize it's not such a "cool" thing to say after all. And if parents want to allow their kids to talk like that...let them buy their own account out of their pocket. Maybe then they won't be so eager to say "f" this and "f" that. >:(
