Title: having a problem with a cheat
Post by: Kyara on January 21, 2006, 08:33:02 AM
Hey... first of all I just want to say that the pogo cheats are awesome since I love the badges, but don't play a lot of the games. Any way, I'm having a problem with, I think, an older cheat. JamminGammon as I just made Backgammon my personal challenge. I've never learned to play the game. Any way, I run it and it doesn't do anything. It doesn't play the game... My mouse will jump around my screen and whatnot, but it will not actually play the game... and so far I haven't had problems with the cheats. Any ideas?

We will try to help you out with this...but we need more information...

1.) Operating system (Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP etc)?
2.) Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Opera etc)?
3.) Color setting (24 bit, 32 bit etc)?
     4.) Screen resolution (800x600, 1024x768)?
5.) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked?
6.) What Java you are using?
7.) What agent are you using?
8.) What version number is this agent?
9.) What specifically is the problem?

(and an "agent" is the cheat you are trying to use...)

  1.) Windows XP Professional

2.) For pogo I use Internet Explorer (latest).

     3.) Highest... so I guess 32

4.) 1280x1024... my computer... pogo is 800x600 which is strangely the largest size :S.

5.) I.... don't know where to look for that....

6.) Same for that.... though I just updated that....

     7.) JamminGammon

8.) V. 2.0

9.) I run it when in a game... a game starts... my mouse jumps around, and basically makes it impossible for me to take control... But, it does not play the game and my opponents are left to wait forever and ever. I even watch to see what it does.... and nothing. That's the best I can describe.

try screen setting of 1024x 780.

and to change the smooth fonts thingie....

Right-click your desktop, then left-click "Properties".
Choose the "Appearance" tab up at the top.
Click "Effects..." in the next window.
UNCHECK the 2nd option "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:" so that it no longer does edge smoothing.
Click "OK".  It will back you out to the previous window.
Click "Apply", then "OK" to close out of THAT window.
You are finished.  Close any previously opened online game window, and start a fresh one.

Good Luck....
