Title: Outsmarting Pogo
Post by: BadgeBabe on January 28, 2006, 12:02:23 PM
I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I am almost certain that Pogo programmers or nosey players who are morally opposed to agent helpers are reading about how well things are working, then reporting the same program so that it is changed on Pogo.

I think it would be a great idea to only give forum access to people who had bought a certain number of agents from BadgeHelp.com.

I'm getting tired of the hassles they are throwing at players who just want badges and pay for the agents to run the programs.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for all you do, Badgehelp!

Ummm ya....maybe you could hold your breath and wait for Badgehelp to do that....I can only imagine the onslaught of opinions thrown back at you on this topic.  I for one haven't bought an auto program.  I come here for the fun and friendliness that I find on the boards.  If your tired of  the hassels then don't use the auto or turn your chat off so people don't see it.

We aren't about to do that. Pogo is well aware of autos etc. It doesn't take much effort on their part to render an auto inoperable.

Question for you, then, Homer. :)
How long has Badgehelp.com been up and offering this service and how often has Pogo been changing the programming codes in their games? Do you think it is co-incidental?
I don't know because both Pogo and the agents are fairly new to me.

To Pogohatesme, it is hard for me to understand why any Pogo player would come here to the tech. area and read if there was no connection between the player and the agent helper applications.
Why aren't you playing Pogo instead? :)  Reading at Pogo related sites which NEVER mention helper agents?
I'm not asking in a confrontative way, but because I don't understand your interest in a segment of game-playing in which you do not participate, and would like to know.

Thanks for reading.

Oscar is older than dirt. :P I don't actually know how long it's been now.

On your other topic. I don't actually know how often pogo changes a game in a manner that it affects the autos. Considering that autos are against the TOS of pogo, no I don't think it's a coincidence.

Umm I read the things here because I'm a member and it's not against the rules for me to read or post in any topic.  I read the tech area because I do see what problems are happening with the autos because I do try the trial versions.  The reason I don't buy them is because I can't afford to.  When I get the chance I plan on buying a couple to play the games I don't like.   I'm sure there's a lot of people on here that don't use autos.  And I'm sure that most of them read and post in any topic and any area on here that they want to.  So why aren't you playing on Pogo instead of harrassing someone on a message board?

Technical help does not just apply to Autos .. Many of us have gotten Technical Help regarding pogo games off this forum. I don't use Autos .. I dont have issues with those who do - We all get our badges how we are able to get them.

I do however, think it interesting that with 9 posts, you feel confident enough to come into the forum and suggest changing something that has obviously worked for quite some time.

I can understand the reason behind that, but there's also a problem. Say that they make the magic number 10. You have to purchase 10 agents in order to access this forum. What happens to all the people that bought 9 or less? They have no access to this forum if they have any problems. They're basically SOL. Now you have a bunch of PO'ed customers who are having issues with the agents and no way of getting any help.

Considering we get over 10 million hits / ~500 new members each month .. we must be doing something right  O0

an idea sort of like his if it hasnt been brought up....not give access to joined users on pogocheats.net, granted access like a vouching topic, as in like a main topic like techincal help n such, like maybe make a topic "vouching forum access" to hopefully help prevent pogo staff from seeing the forums, good idea? :)

I think this site is fantastic, yes i do use some autos but not for all games. Like i have said in the past and will always say. "To each their own" I am not spending my whole life worried about what my neighbor is doing or how they got there.

I feel more comfortable then i did in the past posting. There is alot of great people on this site.

And above all the main reason why I read the forum all the time besides for the information, is the laugh I get on a daily basis.  Some of the things Homer comes out with tickle my funny bone.  Makes my day go by alot easier.   :D

well true, they could easily get ppl to vouch them and say they arent pogo staff, guess it only works on yahoo rare sites =/
