Hello,

This is my first post on here and I am needing to know some help already.  LOL  I am trying to use the Jigsaw Detective cheat Sherlock and when I start the game the Sherlock program clicks START NOW and PLAY NOW but then it does nothing else.  What can I do?  Here are my computer stats:

1. Windows ME
2.  Microsoft Internet Explorer
3. 32 bit
4.  800 X 600
5.  Smooth fonts disabled
6.  Sun Java, i think (just downloaded the other Java)
7.  The cursor just moves from side to side slowly

Thanks for any help!

I had reported my Sherlock wasn't working and someone suggested to switch back to sun java instead of MVSM and that was my probem with Sherlock.  It is working fine now.  I just had to register again but that is ok.

I tried switching to 1024 X 768 but it STILL wouldn't work!   >:(  What else can I do to get that stupid thing to work?  If I register it and make it mine it still probably wouldn't do nothing but move the cursor around!  Sheesh!  Looks like I will have to beg someone to get that badge for me.  Any takers?  (I'm serious)

I went back and reread your specs and see your using Windows ME. I don't believe Sherlock is ME compatible.

Sorry I didn't catch that the first time.

Oscar, correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't believe it is XP compatible, either, 'cause Sherlock gives the "is unable to find the game window" error when I try to play it on Mom's XP computer.

1) Operating system (Windows  XP etc)
2) Browser (Internet Explorer
3) Color setting ( 32 bit etc)
4) Screen resolution ( 1024x768)
5) Smooth edges of screen fonts  unchecked
6) What Java you are using sunjava
7) Is anything at all happening when you start the program

It moves all puzzle down to right side and it stays there, it runs very slow. Never had this prob with the old one.... not touching anything else on the computer.

I have been trying for the last half hour or more.  After iit collects all the pieces and go thru the tallying process it come back 4pieces not found or any number of pieces not found need to start again. I have tried swicth to a new clue.  I have tried AOl 9.0 IE and firefox
XP window
768 x 1024
font uncheck
Java 1.50 check JIT uncheck
32bit
It was acting like this the other night (fri) I was trying to finish up a case before new one came out.  But I had time to watch it and make the necesssary changes which were changing to new clue.

I never could get this auto to work for me, so didn't buy it.
When I play jigsaw, I always use sun java.  The game runs very slowly with vm for me.
Good luck getting things in working order.
