It's a possibility. lol :D :D
I say we send him hunting at the Whitehouse :o
LMAO. . . . isn't this country the greatest? :D
yes it is
that was funny altough it would be one way to eliminate your opposition from running against you in a furture election lol
Like i know that was an accident? Looks like its on purpose to me.. Like I know Brandon Lee got shot by accident on The Crow, thats BS. You should ALWAYS check the gun if it is loaded or not before start pointing it at people. Keep it away from children!
Shooting people is NEVER an accident!
The guy he shot was an :o attorney

Not that I like Bush or Cheney but if it WAS NOT an accident it still wasen't necessarily Cheney's fault....this is directly from the CNN article on it:
Whittington shot a bird and went to look for it in the tall grass, while Cheney and the third hunter walked to another spot and discovered a second covey.
Whittington "came up from behind the vice president and the other hunter and didn't signal them or indicate to them or announce himself," Armstrong said.
"The vice president didn't see him," she continued. "The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by God, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good."
Whittington has been a private practice attorney in Austin since 1950 and has long been active in Texas Republican politics. He's been appointed to several state boards, including when then-Gov. George W. Bush named him to the Texas Funeral Service Commission.

(no harm intended by this...i truly hope the man who was shot was okay...I just couldn't help myself!)

I would thank God also that your dad was there when Cheney was. I do not think Cheney will get in any trouble, because Bush will protect his back. Isn't that how all the Presidents do there so called job?
Chenny shot a
Democrat ;) Plus he cannot see :o right :(

Wrong, LastCal, Cheney shot a Republican. What a shame. There are so many Democrats ripe for the picking LOL j/k >:D
Doesn't this make Cheney the second VP to have been involved in a shooting...the first being Aaron Burr who was involved in a duel during his Vice Presidency?
It makes you wonder how a person with terrible eye sight can even GET a license to hunt.....the LAWS on that need to change...unless he got it thru his connections as VP....I hope he has enough sense to give up hunting now before he really hurts someone bad or worse kills them...by the way homer you forgot to say "DUH"!!! lol

LMAO...I totally missed this upon my first reading of the thread...
If we could only be that lucky watts... >:D
Dickie ;D Chenny shot someone
his eyes are crossed he could have killed him he was shot in the face with
pellets a bad shot of course like I said his eyes are crossed :-\ But I guess who he shot by accident was the sitting duck lmao ;D
What everyone is neglecting to see, and trust me, I'm in NO WAY AT ALL sticking up for Cheney, is that the man he shot is at fault for being shot. He came up to them and didn't announce himself or make it known that he was there......they were sighting the birds and following them. If he had made the simple task of makeing himself known we wouldn't be here discussing it.
Hi Pogohatesme
Yes true in what you say, But they do wear orange when they hunt at least they should be
Next time maybe the hunted<< should yell out( BEHIND YOU) ::) they were not hunting for Bear<,
only a bird or what ever I respect your opinion Pogohatesme O0
I think I'll take a shot :P at the White House.
I'm gonna run on the Robin Hood Ticket.
I take from the rich and give to everybody! :D
No doubt I'd be assassinated based on that idea. :o

Homer...seriously...you can count on at least one vote. We have the Reverse Robin Hood right now... :-*
Thank you foxx. :-*
Unfortunately my ideas would likely get me killed in a hurry.
I know all politicians aren't bad but damn if there aren't a lot of bad ones.
The rich get richer
The poor get poorer
Those of us in the middle can't catch a break.
Politicians easily forget they are supposed to do what is in the our best interest not what is in their best interest. :o
There are absolutely no excuses for the problems of government/society today. They can all be fixed. The problem is the government doesn't want them fixed.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/02/13/cheney/index.html
:D Good to know he's not in trouble or anything right?!? Just a warning from the Parks and Wildlife Department for not having a proper stamp on his hunting license.
we've found weapons of mass destruction finally!! oh..wait..its just Cheney.. ::)
I hope they take away all his guns so he does not shot anyone else. He is a dangerous man when it comes to the shooting of guns. ::)
Tonight I heard Cheney got into some trouble because he was missing his stamp for wild game. And did anyone see the rep with the media - it was tooooooo funny and brutal. Asking how long before Cheney would be resigning and all kinds of stuff. Hilarious!!!!!
hes just half blind and going senile :-X

lol. not only that, but he did not have a real gun, well so to speak anyways. it was a 28 guage shotgun? (Do they really make them that small? )...... lmao... If you are going hunting, use a REAL gun, anything smaller than a 12 guage is childs play, or vice............. nm

TV Comedians Target Cheney Accident
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Television talk shows took aim Monday at Vice President Dick Cheney's accidental weekend shooting in Texas of a hunting companion. Here are a few of the jokes.
``Late Show with David Letterman,'' CBS:
``Good news, ladies and gentlemen, we have finally located weapons of mass destruction: It's Dick Cheney.''
``But here is the sad part - before the trip Donald Rumsfeld had denied the guy's request for body armor.''
``We can't get Bin Laden, but we nailed a 78-year-old attorney.''
``The guy who got gunned down, he is a Republican lawyer and a big Republican donor and fortunately the buck shot was deflected by wads of laundered cash. So he's fine. He took a little in the wallet.''
``The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,'' NBC:
``Although it is beautiful here in California, the weather back East has been atrocious. There was so much snow in Washington, D.C., Dick Cheney accidentally shot a fat guy thinking it was a polar bear.
``That's the big story over the weekend. ... Dick Cheney accidentally shot a fellow hunter, a 78-year-old lawyer. In fact, when people found out he shot a lawyer, his popularity is now at 92 percent.''
``I think Cheney is starting to lose it. After he shot the guy he screamed, 'Anyone else want to call domestic wire tapping illegal?'''
``Dick Cheney is capitalizing on this for Valentine's Day. It's the new Dick Cheney cologne. It's called Duck!''
``The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,'' Comedy Central:
``Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a man during a quail hunt ... making 78-year-old Harry Whittington the first person shot by a sitting veep since Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton, of course, (was) shot in a duel with Aaron Burr over issues of honor, integrity and political maneuvering. Whittington? Mistaken for a bird.''
``Now, this story certainly has its humorous aspects. ... But it also raises a serious issue, one which I feel very strongly about. ... moms, dads, if you're watching right now, I can't emphasize this enough: Do not let your kids go on hunting trips with the vice president. I don't care what kind of lucrative contracts they're trying to land, or energy regulations they're trying to get lifted - it's just not worth it.''
``Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,'' CBS:
``He is a lawyer and he got shot in the face. But he's a lawyer, he can use his other face. He'll be all right.''
``You can understand why this lawyer fellow let his guard down, because if you're out hunting with a politician, you think, 'If I'm going to get it, it's going to be in the back.
``The big scandal apparently is that they didn't release the news for 18 hours. I don't think that's a scandal at all. I'm quite pleased about that. Finally there's a secret the vice president's office can keep.''
``Apparently the reason they didn't release the information right away is they said we had to get the facts right. That's never stopped them in the past.''
LMAO....
They were all pretty funny...but words cannot express how much I love Jon Stewart.... :-*
Sheesh
Chenny short him in the heart Do you think he was thinking of Valentines Day when he did that ::)
