This just in....
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Dennis Weaver, the slow-witted deputy Chester Goode in the TV classic western ``Gunsmoke'' and the New Mexico deputy solving New York crime in ``McCloud,'' has died. The actor was 81.
Weaver died of complications from cancer on Feb. 24 at his home in Ridgway, in southwestern Colorado, his long time publicist and close family friend Julian Myers said.

Ok...don't mean to sound dumb..but I am sure I am not the only one who does not know who Dennis Weaver is... Little Help?
I agree
the only true Weaver I know
is Weaver hot Dogs Fact :-X
RIP
I hate to say it but all the actors and actresses we've grown up enjoying and being entertained by are departing us each and every week. The current generation of kids (and I say this in the best way possible) won't have the same kind of attachment we have on these entertaining people. They will be more upset with things like x-Box being phazed out or their favorite reality TV show being cancelled then real actors actually acting! RIP Dennis Weaver & Don Knotts, you two are in a much better place entertaining the masses who know what was worth watching!

Well considering this thread is 2 pages long now, and there are more threads on other celebs that have passed on, I'd say quite a bit of people care. If you don't care, then don't read and don't post. There's no reason to trash up a thread with a disrespectful comment.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Keep your rude comments to yourself.
Thank you Homer for doing that. It was much needed. I'm going to personally delete my comment that was left before this one because my early Christmas wish has been granted!
I aim to serve and unlike Dick Cheney.....my aim is true. :P (https://www.pogocheats.net/proxy/?http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/e/uzi.gif)

on the smoking gun's website they have a pic of that poor guy after he got outta the hospital....thank god you've got great aim!
R.I.P. Denis Weaver. I enjoyed him both as Chester on Gunsmoke and as McCloud. He was a very good actor and from everything I ever read about him, he was just as good a person. Denis Weaver is the 3rd actor of his generation to die this past week. I'm sure he and Don Knotts and Gavin McLeod are all in heaven entertaining their fans there!
yes they are all the good ones seem to be going in 3s well i still watch them on the cable
I'm sure the 3 of them will be on cable for a long time! O0
