ty...I get put to the test on the smoking thing let me tell you, everyday something else makes me  to go grab one...I have 3 packs in my car and I think knowing that they are there makes it better. I think I have gained 10 pds tho   :'(  So I started chewing gum, it helps.   And I was talking on the phone just a few minutes ago to someone I haven't talked to in awhile and they told me my voice sounds better  O0  A non smoker can tell if someone smokes by there voice, Ive been told.

Your not kidding about that...I quit  smoking in my house after the nicotine was so bad in the fan in my computer it quit fanning...lol  I'm so tired I can't type right..  But seriously when I saw that I almost died...I had to get a whole new mother board just for the fan !!!   And everything was so nasty and yellow in my house...I ended up getting new carpet and painting my whole house...The clothes that were in storage containers that were clean clothes  all smelt like smoke...I had to wash everything me and my daughter owned .
I am just rambling on.

My Mom decided to quit about 18 months ago, cold turkey. She'd quit once before like 15 years ago, but it didn't last. This time my Grandma offered her $5,000 to quit for a year...well, she did and is still smoke free. That $5,000 got my Dad his loooong awaited 42" HDTV.  :)

Lmao, yup...oddly, he's the healthiest 56 year old smoker I know. He weightlifts every other day plus he lifts me up 2-4 times a day to help care for me. I'm a good 170 lbs.

Well, at the time Dad was first gonna get his TV with extra family money, he let my Mom get new carpet she'd wanted. The second time they had money, he got my Mom a fridge she needed/wanted because theirs was like 16 years old. They refuse to use credit cards on big purchases, otherwised he'd had the TV. So she finally gave back with the TV.

Ya nut....I meant stinky from the cigarette smoke!!  :))

When a friend of mine quit smoking.....he would have a pack with him at all times, would hold it and would even put it in the ashtray....but never lit it. He'd even ash it. It was totally hysterical but it worked for him.

You would be surprised how "stinky" cigarrette smoke is. When I stopped the first thing I noticed after a while is how bad they actually make your house smell. It is pretty nasty. You really don't notice it if you are a smoker but trust me stop smoking and you'll know what I mean.

Good luck to all of you who are trying to stop. Fortunately I was able to stop very easy. One day I just crumpled the pack into a ball and threw them out. I've been smoke free approximately 5 years not real sure how long it has been but it has been quite a while for me.

You really have to want to quit to be successful. Do not give in to temptation and stay strong. You can do it!  O0

I will tell you whats nasty...In November I got new carpet and the inside of my house painted. I moved everything I owned to my garage. I started smoking outside . My carpet didn't get here when it was suppose to and I ended up living out of the garage waiting for the carpet to come for 3 weeks.  I had clean clothes in Tote-boxes.  When I moved them back in my house OMG at the smoke smell.  And I was smoking then.  It was nasty to know that my clean clothes and my daughters clothes smelled like that.  I still have things out there and when I open up like our summer clothes a few weeks ago...I had to wash every single thing.
