Title: Coffee
Post by: Homer on June 03, 2006, 07:42:32 PM
I'm sure we have some coffee drinkers here.(https://www.pogocheats.net/proxy/?http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5elf/coffee.gif)

Is Seattle's Best worth the $10 price tag for a 12 ounce bag?

I was thinking of getting a bag of the Javanilla.

I saw it there. Add shipping etc and it's still $10/bag. I don't mind paying a little extra for something that's worth the money. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it is worth it.
I've seen the comments there. Just looking for a little more convincing. LOL

I don't drink coffee every day so that would last me 1-2 months.

Wait!  If I can buy Seattle's Best in my grocery stores on this side of the state, certainly you would be able to on yours, right?

Its really good coffee.  I am a Starbucks girl and pay $10/lb. for it at my local store...so $10/lb. for Seattle's Best is probably worth it...

Royal Caribbean offers Seattle's Best on their ships...its a special cruise-only blend (I think?) called "Royal Carib-bean".  It was effing fantastic.

Hasn't hit the shelves on this side of the state yet. :(

Looks like I may have to give it a try.

I don't really care for Seattle's Best, it is a cheap copy of Starbucks, IMHO.  Now if you really want a smooth pleasant cup, try Jamaica Blue Mountain.  It is spendy, but worth it.  You wouldn't belive how long I can make a quarter of a pound last.

lol I am a "coffee aholic"  and am addicted to Tim Horton's coffee, but at home I use Folgers.  Although I did buy some Jamaican coffee when I was there, it was awesome.   Blue Mountain Coffee, I paid 26.00 us for 4 lbs of it that was about 40.00 cdn with the exchange and was worth every cent !

i use to work in a coffee shop and starbucks was nasty. whenever i order a latte or some other espresso drink it tastes burnt. they let the shots go too long. where i worked if the shot took over 30 seconds it was no good, i have timed starbucks and i refuse to order a drink from there.

Peet's Coffee is pretty tasty as well.  Cheaper than Starbucks and Seattle's Best.

I don't care for most coffee house brews.  I make my own Latte using french roast beans.  I really feel you should be able to taste the coffee.
I also go for Valrona chocolate and Silver Needle tea.  Too bad I don't have the budget to support my taste. :(

ok here my two cents on Seattle best coffee bought some yesterday, talk about being :x  I'll stick to my Yukon and Jamaican blue mountain. I drink coffee nearly all day long and really the only coffee that really dislike was starbuck now I can add another one to my list. I would not buy Seattle coffee but again. but like I said this is only my two cents O0

Well, when I went to San Francisco, the only thing I could get was Starbucks.  We stayed downtown at the Mandarin Oriental and there was a Starbucks on every block and the hotel only served Starbucks.  Let me tell you, I hated it.  I thought it was bitter and strong.  But, I HAVE to have my coffee, so I drank it.  By the end of my six days there, I got used to it.  When I got home, I had plain old, regular coffee and it tasted like water.  I'm addicted to Starbucks, now.   :P

Around Thanksgiving you gotta try the Pumpkin Spice Latte.  And at Christmas time,  you gotta try the Egg Nog Latte.  Très Magnifique!  O0

Anyone enjoy regular black coffee anymore?  As long as I brew it fresh myself in a french press...it's all I drink.  I just love the taste of straight coffee without all the cream and sugar.   8)
