I sent the following message to badge help this morning.
"I have tried to use auto checkers program and it is not working. Box comes up but it just sits there. Speed / pause-continue buttons work. register button does not. Speed/ause buttons are black, register button is just embossed. Nothing happens when you press that button."
I listed registration code and password that I had originally received and the program did work at one time. I said that I deleted program and downloaded it again twice.
Program never asked for password nor did it give a reg. code.
This afternoon I received a form reply redirecting me to lost registration code and signed Oscar.
Now common sense tells me that since the re-downloaded program does not give me an option to put a registration code in, that is NOT the problem.
Any sugestions.
Thank you.
Any ideas?

If the registration button is "embossed" as you said, there is no need to register it again.
To help you, we are going to need a little info...
1.) Operating system (Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP etc)?
2.) Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Opera etc)?
3.) Color setting (24 bit, 32 bit etc)?
4.) Screen resolution (800x600, 1024x768)?
5.) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked?
6.) What Java you are using?
7.) What agent are you using?
8.) What version number is this agent?
9.) What specifically is the problem?
(and an agent is the cheat program....)
I think I found all the answers.
Operating sysem - Windows XP
Browser - Mozilla
Color setting 32 bit
resolution - 800x600
Smoth edges - checked
Java - Sun
Agent - Auto Checkers
Version - Program itself does not have a version number on it. However when I right
clicked it I went to properties and found the following " file version 1.0.0.1
Specific problem - It just sits there and does nothing. It just has the words Speed / Pause / Register (embossed) on the top. No other words come up.
Hope this helps

Found the problem. Change your screen size to 1024x760, uncheck the "smooth fonts", restart your computer and you'll be good to go.
Sorry Black Sheep. Changed both things, restarted computer brought up checkers and then agent but still nothing worked. Guess I will have to learn to play the stupid game.
Thanks anyways for your help.
Pat
I don't guess this is any consolation, but my Checkers Auto lost every game it tried to play the last time there was a Checkers challenge. I ended up double browsing with my other account to get the stupid Checkers badge.
I think Pogo must have changed something about the game code for the auto not to win against a bot, LOL.

Pat...
This is one of the few autos that will not work with Mozilla Firefox. Yeah, I know...it bums me out too.
Works great with IE though...
Thank you so much Foxx. Changed over to IE and it WORKED. TG I don't have to learn to play checkers. Again thanks.
