I was like huh and duh after i read what they asked to but i looked it up and this is what i found out.....
Viva-Media, the supreme children's software distributor, announces their newest game with this super game for all those interested in learning how to play chess. Anyone with a PC can now get the most expert advice from Fritz, the world famous chess engine, on how to improve their chess-playing skills.
As readers may suspect, learning chess with any particular approach is not an easy task, and once you get the basics of the different pieces and their movements, you have learned merely the beginnings of this ancient, powerful game. Learning chess well takes much time, and it requires a lot of patience and practice, along with discipline and determination, so Fritz GrandMaster Challenge is not going to magically result in hundreds of 8-year old chess masters. However, playing the game will provide you with hours and hours of fun as you learn to play chess.
It's some klind of learning tutorial or program for chess from what i gather.
Thanks Rowdy...
So, to the original poster...Yeah...I don't so much care. When I play chess, its for weekly challenges...if they had rank badges and I could only acheive those badges by playing against people...then I might give a rat's ass. Otherwise, people can use the Fritz program and kick all the butt they want to.
fritz is a chess interface you can load any chess engine in the program, some people connect it to pogo using this interface and with an auto program play against other opponents or other chess programs. The reason i was wondering if anybody knew about this is because I'm getting tired of getting my azz kicked when we play programs against each other
