Title: What to play next
Post by: DoubleOscotty on August 01, 2006, 02:13:57 PM
I'm curious as to how everyone else plays and earns higher level badges. Do you play one straight through and move to the next? Do you work them all at once??

Anyway I normally have 2-3 I play after work and late at night. With it being August, I need to pick new ones and I can't decide which ones to play so I figured someone could tell me what to do? (I'm married so I'm used to that by now  ::)   ) The only ones off limits are WordJong, bingo, Picocle and Canasta  :xx  I just played PoppaZoppa and World Class for July.

Any help would ..... ummm help

I like to mix it up and play probably 10 different games a day.  I try to stay in one game long enough to move to the next rank.

I work on 1 game till its done. When they release a new game then I stop on the old game finish the new game then go back to the one I was working on. I have found that you need to jump on the new game as soon as it released before Pogo gets a chance to mess it up even worse.

I used to bounce around ALOT.  But now I park my Auto in a game and leave it there (Except for weekly challenges) ... There have been a few games that I think Im gonna poke my eyes out while trying to finish it (QQ) and take a break to do something else.

I normally concentrate on just one game. However, I like playing a couple of games by hand (Penguin Blocks and Canasta) so I work on one game exclusively until it's finished with an auto, and when I feel like playing a game, I work on the ones I like playing by hand.

It's entirely up to you, though.  Sometimes, especially in long games that take forever, it's best to work on something else for a while.... Switch it up and work on something else. Like for example, Aces Up is a pain.  I've got one more badge to get in there, so I'll work on it a while and come back to it later. I did the same thing with Perfect Pair.  It keeps you from throwing your computer into a wall.

Hmmmm... I don't remember either.  Was it the Bragging Rights thread?  Is Bragging Rights in the 250 or more posts section?  If it is, does DoubleOScotty have enough posts to see it?  Should I just post it again here?  Could I ask anymore questions?   :))

Seriously, Double, here's a list of some of the easiest games to finish.  They are in no particular order:

Blooop
Casino Island Blackjack
Dice City Rollers
Fortune Bingo (using the tips during a weekly challenge ONLY)
Mahjong Garden
Poppit (I forgot that one last time, Justa)
Rainy Day Spider Solitaire
Ride the Tide
Turbo 21 (using the auto or heavy object trick)
Wonderland Memories
Word Jong (using the glitch)
Stellar Sweeper

These are using the autos, though.  I completed Harvest Mania fairly quickly entirely by hand.  Fortune Bingo was done by hand with the help of the auto and the tip.  Fortune bingo can be done in a week using the tip if you have enough time to devote to it.  O0

I've finished ALL the games with good autos ( sorry, BH, but it's true).
I'm actually doing my game rank badges in reverse alphabetical order now. The games at the beginning of the alphabet, Aces Up and Battle Phlinx cheats both STINK and I am hoping that by the time I get to them, there will be better autos.

I generally have 2 or 3 games going at once and that's only because I get bored working on 1 at a time and need the break :) Once I get a few ranks away from the end with any of the games I'll concentrate on that until it's finished then go back to the other 2 until they've finished lol.  The fastest games for me to finish were...

Wonderland Memories
Harvest Mania - This game is so basic and easy do it on hard level
Panda Pai Gow Poker
First Class Solitaire - you don't have to win games to advance in rank it's all about the amount of cards that you move to the foundation stacks

Good luck O0

Well thanks for all the replies. Based on the responses, I'm going to take the typical man route on this one. Perfect Pair and Lottso seem to be the longest. I'll work on them for a time and like a man, never finish the project I start.  :)

Ditto: What's the Fortune Bingo tip, please? I have been stuck at Magic Flute forever. Also, why only when there is the very rare Bingo challenge going on? Thanks!

As far as I know the tip involves playing when a challenge is out for the week. Greater # of rooms with less people increase your odds of getting one. (plus room hopping helps)

Youre exactly right!  My portion of the tip?  3 card rooms .. show all temp rooms ... bounce from room to room with zero in it - snag the bingo and Move on!
