Oh Gawd no! Steelers baby!
Eagles looked pretty good tonight...I think...but it could be that Oakland just really sucks...
Westbrook, in particular, looked pretty stellar...
the giants made their defense better so it should be better then last years.

Their defense was pretty effing phenomenal last year...so, if they've improved, look out NFC East...
But...then again...there is Eli and Plastic-o.
;)
the G-men will be fine i say they should win the east but lose 2nd round in playoffs
their defense got weak at the end with all the injuries tho.
and got embarrassed by the panthers in the first round and Giant stadium was not a great place to be
they beat themselves...they played awful.
yes i know and whats even worse is being there for jet games who are just plain horrible and arent going to do any better this tear 5-11 this year

I've always had really high hopes for Pennington. One of these days, he will rebound.
Sucks that the team doesn't have much drive to win though...you can't make up for that with talent.

i personally think as probably many do the team is rushing him back after 3 major surgeries in 3 years his wrist one year and his should the past 2. he needs more time to heal and teams will continue to go for his arm since hes not 100% yet

In Sunday's practice at the Meadowlands, rookie cornerback Drew Coleman suffered a severe knee injury.
Coleman will have an MRI, likely on Monday, and it looks like his season could be over.
bruce perry of the eagles looks to have substained a serious injury with only 1:14 left what a horrible way to end a good day and opening weekend
he gave the thumbs up and they always say thats a good sign

You seem to forget that McNabb played about the first 10 games with a sports hernia injury and missed approximately the last 6 games when he could play no more. His sports hernia severely hampered his ability to play and he probably shouldn't have played at all and had the surgery.
He's had the surgery and looks very good from the footage I've seen so far.
They don't upgrade a lot in free agency because they lock up their core players so they don't have to be major players in free agency.

If Drew starts to do anything that might win a game for them, they will pull him... What year was that the Saints had 3 to 5 kickers that could kick a field goal from 60 to 70 yards and did NOT use them? If you have kickers on your team that can kick 60 and 70 yards. there is no reason to loose a game if you ask me.

Clinton Portis should be good to go for the regular season opener...
"Portis partially dislocated his shoulder in Sunday night's 19-3 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, then afterward revived the debate whether the preseason is too long and if proven veterans should be playing at all.
Portis traveled to the office of noted orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., for a two-hour consultation.
Dr. Andrews told the Redskins that Portis should be ready for the regular season opener on Sept. 11 against the Vikings, a source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen. "
AND...
"Quarterback Matt Leinart, the former Southern California star and the 10th overall selection in the 2006 draft, on Monday night signed a six-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, a contract that ESPN.com has learned includes a maximum value of $50.8 million."

Anyone remember Dusty Dvoracek? He was: Four-year letterwinner at Oklahoma (2001-05) started 26 of 48 career games played and totaled 131 tackles with 16 sacks, 45 TFLs, 1 INT, 3 fumble recoveries and 2 PBUs& Ranks 5th all-time at OU and 3rd among linemen in TFLs and is 12th on Oklahoma's career sacks list& Two-time consensus All-Big 12 first team selection and twice named to All-Big 12 Academic first team& Winner of the Pace (University College award for top 1 percent of freshmen)
Well he got drafted by the Chicago Bears, and guess what He graduated the year after me ummmm yep right here in TEXAS! :)))
The same big meat head who beat up a teammate and got suspended? The same meat head who met us out one night up at UNT with my me, my roommate, & his gf (who went to high school with him) that told chicks he played for OU as his pick up line? Witty huh?
Junior Seau isnt retiring at all.. he was graduating.. and he joins to play with the Patriots.. they needed a linebacker.. so taking Willie McGinest's number?

I was hoping the Eagles would have signed Stephen Davis. I've wanted him the entire offseason. I think he still has something left in the tank. He would only get about 10 carries a game here but I think his health would hold up better with limited playing time.
I'm waiting for my rental copy of Madden now. Once I get it I'll be hiding for weeks. lol
my madden is coming tomorrow stupid ups forgot to deliever it and pushed it back til tomorrow but hey what do you want for free shipping

There's actually been talk in NFL circles that the Cowboys may have considered cutting him but they can't as long as he is injured. If he is out with the injury until week 2 then the Cowboys are obligated to pay him $5 million dollars for this year's part of the contract. Some people believe he is trying to protect his roster spot by not playing until the second week.

Palmer will play Monday night against Packers
CINCINNATI (AP) -- Carson Palmer is ready to play.
With his rebuilt knee holding up in practice, the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback said Thursday that he will play in the next preseason game, stepping on the field and taking a hit for the first time since his injury in the playoffs seven months ago.
Palmer is expected to start against the Green Bay Packers on Monday night, when his left knee will get its biggest test yet.
"I'm going to play," Palmer said Thursday. "Nothing's changed. We set out this date a while back, and everything's been on schedule and I've been fortunate enough to progress from day to day and week to week. So, I'll be out there for the first time this year."
Palmer hasn't talked to coach Marvin Lewis and offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski about how much he will play. He expects to come to a decision in the next couple of days.
When he jogs onto the field at Paul Brown Stadium on Monday night, he'll have come full circle. He was carted off the same field on Jan. 8 after Pittsburgh's Kimo von Oelhoffen hit the side of his knee on his first pass during a 31-17 playoff loss, tearing two ligaments and causing other damage.
He has practiced with the starting offense in minicamp and training camp, but sat out the first two preseason games because he didn't feel ready to give the knee its most crucial test -- seeing how it holds up when he's going full-speed and getting hit.
Now, he is.
"I'll get hit," Palmer said. "I'll get knocked around a little bit. It'll feel good because I haven't been doing that in training camp. I've been preparing for that."
His teammates are eager to see him back on the field. Like everyone else, they're wondering how he'll come through it.
"I know I would be nervous, so I'm assuming he's going to be nervous," receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh said. "It'll be interesting. I'm anxious to see how he'll hold up. You don't want to see him get hit, but you do kind of want to see him get hit to see him get up."
If Palmer has no setbacks, he's expecting to play in the final preseason game and then start the season at Kansas City on Sept. 10.
Maybe the Bengals can stop their effing crying now...
Have you seen the fantasy draft commercial where the guy can't say Houshmandzadeh? lmao...TJ Whosyourmama...
That commercial is funny. Let's just hope he is in my fantasy league. I'm in a 12 team league and the entry fee was $50/team. :ooo
