Jerry Springer certainly can't think that this will help his political career!?! Hope he's given up on politics already... Ohio is already messed up enough without having to deal with him in office :)))

why?
Because they're dividing the groups up by races.
I wonder why this is in here..it belongs in Survivor. :-\
Nakomis :)) :)) :xx
The season premier of Dancing with the Stars is starting right now ... quick, run to your T.V.'s!!!!
wow i'd never known joey lawrence w/o his hair...lol
I had no idea who he was either until they announced his name :o
i can't watch it :'(( i don't get the channel its on...someone will have to update me on it okies? and i think joey looks HOT without his hair ???
well they all did pretty good, i'm not sure who's getting my vote yet :o
ty for posting jerry springer well that will be a hoot
He did better than I thought he would, lol. At least he didn't get the lowest total of votes from the judges :)))
the show was great and funny 2 :)) :))
yess it was. well i went & voted online, all 11 times :)) guess we'll see who lost tonite
jerry was great, i cant believe how bad harry hamilin did
yes i thought harry would've done lot better than he did after being there last season with his wife when she did the show :o
Go Emmitt Smith... :D I thought he did good. I'm not finish watching it yet...lol I want to see it before the result show tonight.
Emmit was good. I can't decide who my fave is yet :)))
On Imus this morning they said they've seen people in body casts look more graceful than Tucker Carlson. They showed a clip and I almost fell out of my chair. Too funny.
so who got the boot? O+O
Tucker got voted off..it was funny watching him tho
I was surprised Jerry Springer was in the Top 4... :o Did you hear him say, "Their not voting for the ones who can dance" :))) I don't really think he wants to be there that long. It's alot of hard work on them.
I liked Mario,Emmitt and Vivica.
Yea, he looked so surprised when they called his name to stay. They'll probably try to keep him on there for a while cause I bet lotta people are watching just to see him dance :))
Ok, I was right about Jerry Springer. I just watched him in a interview. His partner hurt her knee this week and he had to dance with a blow up doll..LOL Anyways, he said he doesn't want people to vote for him, he doesn't want to come back next week. He wasn't playing he was serious. Poor guy, I have a feeling people are going to vote for him like crazy.
Rumors... Mario is really hitting on his dance partner. :o
Thanks for the info Tara! That Mario is real good, I've missed parts of it tonite cause my very talkative grand daughter was here :))
I'm recording it. I had to watch House.
Well on my way to vote, who I'm voting for? no idea but I'll decide when I get there, lol. probably divide my votes between couple of em since I didn't see em all. :)))
wonder if jerry gets voted off tonite? :o
Jerry is still there, he'll be there awhile!
yes i bet he will be there for a while too, he has a big following but he's doing pretty good
The judges really were getting pissed off last night weren't they? I don't know why Mario always has his head down in front of the judges. He acts scared. :-\
yea he did lot beter last week i thought. hard to tell who's getting voted off tonite.
Well I thought Jerry was gonna go but he made it for another week. lol <O>
I felt sorry for Ashley the most. She never gets to stay long. She had Master P last time.
oh yea, that was so sad for her. i was almost crying too just watching her. :(
yes it was sad,but will jerry go next week
Jerry is gone and then I think the showdown will be Joey and Emmit or Mario
well i missed most of the show tonite cause i fell asleep reading..lol. but i did manage to catch the tail end of it so have to go by that to make my votes
Jerry will last one more week and either Sara or Monique will be gone now
I truly enjoyed Jerry's dance, it was done for a purposeruly emotional :/\
oops :'(( purely emotional
I didn't watch the whole show so don't know how it went after Sara danced. She didn't do well at all. Jerry will stay but compared to other dancers who are much better he should ve gone soon.It is beginning to be a pity party for them. I'm still hoping former FL Gator Emmitt will make it to the end. ++

Public Smitten With Dancing Springer
By Associated Press
October 4, 2006, 9:47 AM EDT
CINCINNATI -- Jerry Springer's latest step into the spotlight -- honing his moves on "Dancing with the Stars" -- has the public smitten with the host known for his bawdy TV talk show.
Springer decided to appear on the ABC reality show to learn the waltz for his daughter's upcoming wedding. He and partner Kym Johnson have so charmed viewers that they've avoided elimination for the last two weeks.
"This is the first time I've done TV being myself," Springer told The Cincinnati Enquirer for a story published Tuesday. "My TV show isn't really me or about me. I just introduce the guests and let them go at it."
Springer said he put a lot of effort into learning the waltz so he could dance it with his daughter, Katie, during her wedding in December. The waltz was featured on Tuesday's episode.
"I try to do all of the dances well, but this one is more important to me," he said.
Springer acknowledged he's not a very good dancer. The judges ranked his tango second-worst last week, but viewers liked him far better. Half of the vote total comes from the public.
"Obviously, everyone is a better dancer than I am," Springer said.
His personality seems to be winning over the audience, though. Viewers have seen the self-deprecating humor that helped Springer, 62, get elected to the Cincinnati City Council in the 1970s and serve one term as mayor.
He later anchored a local TV newscast, then went on to host the "The Jerry Springer Show," infamous for its trashy topics and brawling guests.
"Most of America only knows Jerry as the guy reacting to the insanity of his TV show guests," said Jay Gilbert, a disc jockey for WEBN-FM in Cincinnati and longtime friend. "Now they're seeing the Jerry we know -- the self-effacing and witty guy who's worlds away from what he's most famous for."

BOY AM I DISAPPOINTED IN TONIGHTS SHOW >:((
me too..i missed last nites show but Vivaca always did good i thought
I missed it ...who went home?
well i think it was a shocker but it was..........Vivica A. Fox. It sure surprised me that she went :o
WOW! That is a shock.
yes it was..i figured she'd be 1 of the last ones left cause she was good from what i seen
I've missed all my shows all week. :'(( I just now remembered it's Thursday and Survivor will be on in a hour.
I guess im just not into this ive tivoed it but just cant seem to watch it i thought it was much better last season!!
sara evans quit the show to file for a divorce yesterday <:>
wow i hadn't heard about that
Yep, I heard that too. She dropped out of the show, so I don't know what's going to happen this week. I assume they will bring Willa back for another chance. The TV spots are taken for the show and they can't change episodes or anything. I doubt they will say everyones safe this week, but you never know.
Jerry Springer totally cracked me up last night. I laughed the whole time he danced the matador dance thingy. I don't know how to say or much less spell the dance he did. I hope the poor guy gets to go home tonight, and I'm sure he does too.
Monique is the last female standing with the 4 guys.
yea that ws so funny . i bet he does go home home tonite tho. i really liked watching emmit tho. i loved his dancing last nite.
Emmit Smith is my favorite..then Mario...then Joey.
all the ones left are good but out of those, i have to pick emmett too, especially after how he did that jive last nite but i have a feeling mario is gonna win
I have alot of stuff to watch tonight. I'm gonna tape this, I only care about the last 3 minutes of the hour. :)))
I missed wednesday 10/18 (to busy playing pogo) can someone tell me who bit the dust?
No one got kicked off and the reason why no one got kicked off is because Sara Evans dropped out.
I kinda figured that would happen. They have the space allotted out on the TV station, they can't just get done with the show early.

They say Mario will win because most of the population of girls that watch the show will vote for him :,Mario is only 21 years old.
So I can believe it ,I hope that is not the case.Jerry should have lost 2 weeks ago. Enjoy your day <:>
Not that it matter but Mario is 33. Maybe he acts like 21 :)))
OMG..Is he really 33? He can dance good, isn't that what the show is about? :)))
He went on to dance, while Screech went on to make naughty movies. :.
I have become so hooked on this show, Jerry would be gone if not for Sara's leaving. next weeks scoring will be complicated by what was said. Jerry will be gone next week, he makes all the dances look like cartoons :))
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_L%C3%B3pez Mario was born Oct.10, 1973 so he's 33 but sure looks younger and I too thought he was younger.
I heard Eva Longeria and Mario were seeing each other before she flew to France to patch things up with Tony. Then I heard him and his partner are seeing each other. Who know...but you're right he looks like he's about 21..lol
I really really really liked Emmit last night. I thought Joey's partner (can't spell her name and won't even try..lol) looked like a transvestite in the face for some reason and she had WAYYYYYY to much spray tan on. She looked orange.
I won't be upset if Monique or Jerry go home tonight.
yep i bet jerry goes home tonite. I thought joeys partner looked freakish. :))) i really liked emmett's dancing too & i like watching the expressions on his face, lol. he's giving joey & mario some good competition. i think those 3 guys will be the last 3 but i'm still hoping emmett wins although they all are good. <O>

Well I'm glad Jerry gets to go home now. I kinda figured he wanted to.
Yea I got the impression he wanted to go home a few weeks ago :)))
Never thought I would say I enjoyed Jerry Springer! But I did on the show, he looked relieved last night, Now it will be tough to decide who goes home as all very good. But still voting for Emmitt, Gators stick together! But Joey has surprised me too.
They are dancing a Halloween theme tonight. :D
I'm voting for the man of ballroom dancing... :))) I liked how Cheryl had her hair in the first dance.

You vote on Tuesday...5 votes via internet at ABC.com and 5 votes from phone. I kinda thought Monique would go. I think the guys have a bigger fan base.
Emmett got all my votes the other nite, I hope he wins but hes got some tough competition. <o>
I think it's gonna be Mario and Emmit in the finale. I think Mario will probably win, but I want Emmit to. <)

Mario is 2 cute, so emmit will go-votes peeps
wow emmitts 2nd dance had me wanting to get up there & dance with him :)) go emmitt go....he better be in the final 2 cause he did better than mario tonite i thought..joey ws good too but haven't seen his 2nd dance tonite yet
They were all good last night. It's going to be sad when someone has to go tonight. You can tell they all want it. Emmitt is my favorite though. I hope he makes it to next week. The crowd was the loudest on his 2nd dance last night. :D
I'm happy they all got perfect scores last night..I hope I don't :'(( at result show tonight.
yea me too :))) but i can't wait til it comes on, will be sitting on the edge of my seat for sure <:>
Whew! Emmitt goes to the finals! I felt so ad for Joey. They all were so darn good!
i'm with you, i hated seeing joey go & yes they were all real good....but on the bright side, emmitt goes to the finals! hot doggies :D
They are coming to southern Indiana in January the tickets run from 125.00 to 325.00
I felt sorry for Joey also...I wish they could of all 3 went to the finals. I'm glad Emmit made it but I did feel sorry for Joey, I'm glad he gets to go on tour.

Guess the 'stars' require high salaries! Seems rather high to me.
I don't know where she got those prices from. I saw some prices (depending on the stadium and where you sit) and I didn't see anything over 99.00. O+O
http://www.ticketsnow.com/TicketsList.aspx?PID=437883
Here is where you can see the price of the tickets, and yes they are very high but some people will pay to go see them
Yea thats to have them sent Fed Ex and stuff and they are cheaper at the ABC Dancing With The Stars website. That must be some other ticket company. The lowest price on that list is still ridiculous.
yes, some are fed-x, but like you said still to high when you can watch them on tv, they have sold alot of the 325.00 for section 1,2,3,4 reserved seating and most of the lower part
alittle bit different price on the ABC web page even for the 115.00 the seating is way at the top you need O+O these to see really good
Ok yall, its the final week so make sure you get those votes in tonite! lol Will Emmitt win it?? I hope so!!! <:>
It's probably gonna be Mario, but I'm just happy Emmitt made it to the final two. Jerry Rice made it to the final two last year, but Emmitt is so much better than Jerry was , IMO.
I agree, Mario will probably win but I hope not but he is good. They all have worked hard on the dancing & put lotta time into it tho. Its been fun watching.
I never would of thought I would of liked this show, but I've been watching all 3 seasons. Ballroom dancing isn't my thing, but this is a good show.
Yes its a lot better show than I thought it'd be when it 1st started. Ballroom dancing isn't my thing either but if I had a partner like Mario or 1 of those other hunky guys, I 'd go learn it just so I could dance with em. Better yet how bout learning dirty dancing with Patrick Swayze? :))) :))

I know me too, but don't tell Homer. :ll
Oh gosh this is nerve wracking! Emmitt is doing the free style . One thing I've noticed is that Mario seems to dance the same way every dance, the facial expression is the same etc. Of course I'm biased I want Emmitt to win!
Emmitt's dances were great! I loved his free-style. O0
What a good show it was, they both did good, but I did like Emmitt's freestyle better, but the judges liked Marios better. I didn't get any votes in on the phone...it was busy...busy..busy and then sometimes it wouldn't even ring. !@#$
Did you guys see Emmitts daughter when she got off the plane and said.."You have more fans than Mario" :))
Their both good...I just want Emmitt and Cheryl to win.
The audience was friggen LOUD last night weren't they? I could barely hear Samantha and dipstick (can't think of his name) talking at times. Which I really didn't miss out on much. :))) Their kinda lame.
Yeah, I really enjoyed the show last night , I too tried to vote but couldn't get thru. Think all of Gainesvile and die hard Gator fans have been voting for Emmitt. This season was so enjoyable I might pay the prices to see the road show!
I got my internet votes in but took a while. Never did get thru to vote on the phone tho, was always busy.
Yea that was funny when Emmitts daughter said that. :)))
Well tonights the night! :/// Go Emmitt Go <..>

'Dancing With the Stars' tie goes to . . . you, the viewers
Hal Boedeker
Sentinel Television Critic
November 15, 2006
Mario was super. But Emmitt was Emmitt, which probably counts for more in the end.
The two finalists on Dancing With the Stars -- football legend Emmitt Smith and actor Mario Lopez -- performed vigorously Tuesday before an appreciative studio audience during a live telecast on ABC. The chatty judges tied the two men, with 89 out of 90 possible points, after critiquing each of their three performances.
That tie means the judges left the final decision to viewers who phoned in votes. The winner will be revealed in the finale at 8 tonight on WFTV-Channel 9. The show scores some of its highest ratings in Central Florida.
Which dancer is more popular? Smith's young daughter summed up the situation succinctly, telling her father: "You have a lot more fans than Mario."
Or as a reader put it Tuesday night in an e-mail explaining her support for Smith: "I'm always a sucker for the underdog. Plus, I enjoy his pure joy."
For sheer joy, however, it was hard to top Lopez in the final round. His freestyle performance with partner Karina Smirnoff was rousing, imaginative and sexy. The dance underscored Lopez's natural ease and versatility.
"The best dance I've seen all season," judge Carrie Ann Inaba raved. Judge Bruno Tonioli called the performance "a hit parade on the dance floor."
Smith's freestyle with partner Cheryl Burke was set to MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This." They attempted dangerous lifts that kept viewers in suspense. Inaba said she was scared by the lifts. Tonioli saw problems with one lift and knocked off a point.
In the first round, each couple danced a samba to Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke." Judge Len Goodman said Smith did not disappoint in any way. But Goodman penalized Lopez a point because the couple messed up the running promenade and got off on the wrong foot -- or something to that effect.
In that round, Inaba praised Smith for representing the everyday man who became a dancer. That observation could explain why he's likely to prevail this evening.
In the second round, Smith executed a lively mambo by shaking his shoulders and pelvis. In that dance, Goodman said he found everything he loved about the mambo.
Also in the second round, Lopez pulled off a highly theatrical pasodoble. Tonioli went gaga and called Lopez "the Latin thunderbolt." The judge also said Lopez was "a killer matador of the pasodoble." The comment didn't make a lot of sense, but Tonioli said it exuberantly.
In the end, the decision comes down to this: Lopez was the best dancer from the start. Smith was the most-improved dancer over the show's run. America loves the underdog. Look for Emmitt to collect the trophy tonight.

Hee! Now I'm even more anxious with still 3 hours to go. I won't be upset if Emmitt doesn't win, but he worked his butt off to get where he was last night in his dancing. Mario already had it from the beginning. They're both good. I almost cried when Joey went home last week, and I wanted Emmitt to win then.
oh nail biting time! results being read,YAHOOOOOOO EMMITT WINS!!!!!!!!!
Sorry Hormer but I'm shouting joy! :))
awww did I see Jerry dancing with Emmitt's oldest girl?
WoooooHooooo Emmitt! :D O0 :D
lol maybe but i didn't notice, was on the phone here :)))
Woooooooo Hooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
I was so nervous. I wanted him to win more than I thought I did..lol I didn't think he was going to though. I saw his daughter dancing with Jerry Springer.
What a good show...
Do you think Marios partner and him are more than dance partners? I do..and I think she was mad they didn't win.
Yah, I think Mario and dance partner do more than ballroom dancing :))) she didn't look at all happy or pretend to be for the other couple. Amd Jerry dancing with Emmitt's daughter was so sweet!
It was a good show. I was glad to see all the celebrities back again. Emmitt & Mario are supposed to be on Good Morning America tomorrow morning so guess I'll have to get up early, lol. :/o\
Well wonder what celebrities will be on the next show? <..>

If the Gators win out, will they play for the national championship?
No, not that question.
Will Jeff Bowden's resignation affect how Florida State prepares for next week's game against the Gators?
Nope, not that one, either.
Is Emmitt lighter on his feet than Mario?
Bingo.
Can you believe this is what it's come to? The Gators were playing a monumental game against former coach Steve Spurrier and his South Carolina Gamecocks last weekend, and some UF fans actually were holding up signs that said, "Vote for Emmitt." The placards were in reference to Emmitt Smith, one of the greatest Gators ever and the NFL's all-time leading rusher, going head to head against pretty-boy actor Mario Lopez in the hit ABC reality show Dancing With the Stars.
I'm told that the final results came out Wednesday night and Emmitt won. Yippee. Of course, I wasn't watching because no real man would watch a dancing show.
In fact, men everywhere should be protesting Emmitt's inclusion in this cha-cha-cha contest. Why? Because a few weeks ago, Emmitt was one of the original inductees in UF's football Ring of Honor. But Emmitt skipped the pregame gala and halftime ceremony because, well, he had to practice his routine for Dancing With the Stars.
"We understand why Emmitt wasn't there," Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley said. "Emmitt's a competitor, and he's trying to win a championship."
Oh, stop it. He wasn't trying to win a title. He was tiptoeing through the tulips.
Have you seen those Miller Lite commercials where a panel of manly men discusses a given topic and decides upon a man law? There are a number of readily accepted edicts that real men must live by: No fruit slices garnishing your beer mug, no wine coolers at the tailgate party and no smelling the frosted cranberry spice candles at Bath & Body Works.
Now Emmitt has caused The Official Manual of Man Law to be rewritten with one commandment above all others:
Thou Shalt Never Put Dancing Commitments Ahead of Football Commitments.
I mean, come on, what's next -- Emmitt skipping his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony so he can do a solo in Ziegfeld Follies?
And the danger of this whole thing is that dancing is only the beginning. Where is it going to end? Does Emmitt not show up for the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl reunion celebration, because he has to perfect his blueberry poppy seed brunch cake recipe for the Pillsbury Bake-Off?
Emmitt Smith has done a disservice to men everywhere by showing you can go from being a macho superstar football player to a sensual, accomplished ballroom dancer. Listen to how John Davis, the president of the Central Florida Chapter of USA Dance, assesses Emmitt's ability: "Emmitt's dancing is smooth, sexy, sophisticated and masculine. Every woman watching wants to dance with a man like that."
And that's the problem. A Gator buddy of mine told me a few days ago that his wife has fallen in love with Emmitt during Dancing With the Stars and has signed up her and her husband for a ballroom dancing class. Good grief, the only thing that possibly could be worse for a man is spending a football Sunday at the mall picking out china patterns.
Emmitt Smith used to be a tough guy who once competed in an NFL playoff game with a separated shoulder. Now, sadly, he's a gentleman who dances in sequined shirts and shiny shoes.
I think I'm going to cry in my beer.
Just as soon as I remove the orange slice.
