Have trouncer on my computer but i haven't played it for a while and now it wont open :'((
I've uninstalled and re-installed it and the desktop icon is there but when you click on it after the standard security message comes up I get a quick flash of a black box and NOTHING.
Its nothing to do with the game, I can't get the program itself to open.
Windows XP
Browser - irrelavant but use ie and firefox
smoothfonts etc off
1024
I have tried turning the firewall and anti-virus off to see if that was stopping it loading but it makes no differance.
Can anyone help please :OO
Did you start your game first and then the auto?
I tried both ways tara. The black box just flashed up and disappears.
Delete the auto, reboot your pc and redownload from www.badgehelp.com
cleared cache, cookies, etc from ie and firefox, deleted all mention of trouncer from my computer.
Rebooted and downloaded again :OO :OO
I can't even get the box up to see if its registered, nor send a screen shot as the black box that comes up is only up for a fraction of a second..
If it helps the black box looks a bit like an ms-dos box.
I've only ever once seen anything like it, when I had a really old machine and the graphics card wouldnt support the more up to date games programs.
But I have a high graphics card now, and all other auto box's come up (whether they work or not is another matter ;)) and I can play all games by hand so its not the java or vm.
Its just simply the auto wont install on the machine.
:'(( :'((
I just installed in on my pc wihtout any problems. For some reason your pc will not install the program. There is really nothing else I can tell you to do.
Cheers for trying O0
Thought you may like to know, I managed to get this sorted. (with a little help from a computer programmer).
Apparantly this auto didnt like my windows xp and is quite a common problem.
Therefore on the properties of the auto, tab-compatability, he changed it to 'run this program in comapatability mode windows 98 AND it works perfectly. :D :D
Maybe its a tip worth bearing in mind and trying if all else fails for other autos :)
For some reason, I played Poppa Zoppa yesterday ( boredom with the 2 new games, I guess) and Trouncer worked like it always does- I finished middle of the pack.
I am running Win XP also, so it must have been something about your Java.
