I have Ad-Aware, EZ Trust Antivirus, Office Trend, Windows Defender, and eTrust Pest Patrol.
I scan every day (sometimes multiple times) and get rid of 30+ crappy files, but none of these programs that i've used keep the crap from coming back. Google's popup blocker does nothing to help, either.
I've gone through every running process and googled its name to see exactly what that process does, and none of them show up as malware. I do have hijack this, but have no idea how to analyze it. !@#$ Michael.
Can anyone here help me clean my system and protect it from future infections?
Oh, and on reboot, I get two instances of "project1" in my running applications. >:((

You should try going to majorgeeks.com. Click on the spyware section. They not only tell you what programs to download, most of them are free, but they will help you use Hijack this to permanently get rid of those hard to remove ones. I use them all the time and they are very helpful. Just make sure you read and follow their instructions before you submit a hijack this report. Good Luck! O0
