Title: Will pogo games work with "Firefox"?
Post by: spidertail on March 27, 2007, 09:52:01 AM
I can only get dial-up where I live (Podunk, USA) and was looking for a way to speed up my internet so my pogo games go faster (sad life, lol)!  I saw an ad for Firefox on C/net..  Will pogo games work on this and/or has anyone ever used Firefox? :=

Yes they will. Don't be surpised if you lose your connection occasionally on dial-up

Changing browsers isn't likely to help much. Dial-up is what it is. SLOW

If something takes 2 minutes to load on a 5MBPS link, it could take an hour or more at 56KBps.  Fortunately (for you) I don't really get 5MBPS from Pogo but 10-20-30 minutes can happen.

Well, I don't know if my service has improved suddenly or what, but, Firefox seems to be faster, and I can actually stay connected overnight!!! I also haven't received the dreaded "Sorry, but IE explorer had to close...."!! So, I'm HAPPY!!!  <3
