Title: Pogo jackpots really a scam? Read this
Post by: MrTX55290 on May 29, 2007, 04:44:54 PM
I received this in a PM today from a fellow Pogo player. I am going to have to leave the name out because of forum rules, but here is what he told me.

I wanted to send you some information I found out today. I hope you will tell others so pogo knows we are on to them.

Today while playing in Mahjong, I noticed someone had won another jackpot and the winnings were doubled, meaning they were a member. Well my curiosity got the better of me, so I added this person to my friends list, and followed them into the room they were in.

When I got there, the room was in a buzz, %$^&$%$ was not talking to anyone, and it showed this person as a watcher but when you sat at the table you could not see #$%$&&. Hmmmm, gets stranger.

Come to find out this person is not a member, but playing under a guest pass. Now how did they get the double jackpot, or did they get a jackpot at all. One of the other members who was mad, started checking out all the past winners from this week.

It's seems that NONE of them are members, but playing under guest passes. So who are these people, do they exist, or is Pogo just playing all of us as fools.

I have since emailed pogo to let them know we are onto them. One of the other players in that room is notifing the FBI. This is serious folks, Pogo takes our membership money and I will admit I have more then received my portion of fun from the cost.

But the big picture is that they tell us we have a chance to win this big Jackpot, which many of us could really use, and then we find out it is all a big huge LIE. I am not sure where to go from here, but I wanted to let all my friends in pogo to know what was going on.

It's a wonder what people believe -

These same people who send spam, that's what it is, are usually the same ones who sit on pogo watching others profiles.

Geesh we already knew it was a scam. Pogo only gives one out when they have to.  And denies it when they want to.  The FBI thing was a hoot. Forget the criminals and go get Pogo

I won a jp last week, just about fell off my chair when it happened LOL

As for not talking I will say this, it is a real pain in the  :o0 when a zillion people are suddenly asking you over and over and over and over .. "Do you really exist? Did you really win? Reply if your a real person" .. I got fed up with it in about 30 seconds, if nobody believes I'm a real person then tough toenails  :^*

I personally signed up because I love the games they have and I never noticed about the jackpots ever. I've been a member since 2002, I believe all the true rumors. Only Pogo employees and their families win jackpots. Everytime I talk to a real winner, they never answer anyone. Or they block everyone so nobody knows what room they are in.
You can seriously sit in both word whomp games, have the auto run on FAST ALL WEEK (7DAYS) and not win 1 single jackpot. You get tokens, tokens, tokens up the @$$ LOL! No more wallpaper, no more screen savers, no gems, just stupid worthless tokens that we all pay for 34.99 per year. I'm not even asking for big jackpots, what they can't spare me a gift prize or a shirt prize? how can you be so darn cheap when you are a multi billion dollar industry that have advertisements paying for nonclub members? give me a break!

They did not mail me the question. They e-mailed it to me.
This is what I got
Note:The slash (/) represents a division symbol.
[(90-47) x18 ):/: 4] + 9.5
My answer was 203 which must of been correct. I got the money in about 3 months from time of winning. You have to send them answer as soon as possible. I hope this answers your question. Good Luck  :D

i think the only guest passes part is a scam, i recently used my guest pass & didnt win Jack. I purposely took it when I was available to play a whole ton too.

I dont doubt that winning is possible, but the guests only seems to be a crock.

I do wonder if it is club pogo members only though who can win... ive been a free member for years & never even won the $50 daily draw.

I play for fun too, with my luck ill never win anything. I like the games here. Its fun to get tokens too. It would be neat though, instead of placing bets in a matter of speaking, if you could cash in your tokens, like 10,000 tokens = $10 or something, that would be cool. it would be fair that way too. even if they had both cash in and winnings, then those of us who never win could cash in, lol.

This would be a great idea..but it's never going to happen. 10,000 tokens is basically valued at .03 cent, 1 million is at $3..If this came true and I cashed in, Pogo would have to give me $550..and I'm just one player there are like three hundred thousand players on Pogo..Pogo would go broke I believe..but a nice idea. they would surely go under if they did put a cash value on tokens and we started cashing in....

but they could let you cash in tokens for a yearly membership to club pogo....

10 or 20 million tokens get a year membership, thats not too far fetched is it?

hell i got 50 screen names with those 400,000 tokens on thats one membership right there.  :!$ lmao

I got banned!
Funny thing is too, they still send me emails to "come back!" with that banned screen name....   :))

Don't care to win ANY jackpots now.. I'll stick to the stupid wallpapers which I never download anyway... LOL!!!

Umm hmm. I'm not going to attempt to use my tokens for anything at all other than Mini items, which are only virtual images on the Pogo site, LOL.

No way I would ever try to take ANYTHING worth a penny from Pogo the way I cheat.

I would be banned and I've worked too hard- strike that- my Autos have worked too hard for me to lose all my badges from the past 4 years.

No way. No how.

I got that e-mail forever ago in Pogo.  If you're playing to win a JP, you will be sorely disappointed.  I just play what I like and if by some needle-in-a-haystack chance I *happen* to win, great.  But I'm not holding my breath. :)))

I hope I don't win anything at this point, using cheats and all. I would be too tempted to accept the win, then they would find out I have used cheats and glitches and not only not give me the prize but suspend my account. Ouch! I have only bought a few cheats and used a glitch here or there, but use one of those just once and you are finished to win any prize. Am I right? Has anyone won a decent prize or jackpot and use cheats and glitches?

If people are playing on Pogo hoping or thinking that they will win something, that's sad.

There are sites which list national and International sweepstakes you can enter online, every day.

I've won plenty of valuable things from legit. sweekstakes, but seriously, Pogo is for BADGES...... and cheating to get them.

Im curious about this myself,I have used just a couple of cheats, but not on games I like to play, not that it would happen, but if I won a JP on a game legitimatly, would I still get it based on using cheats for other games,or would they actually know
