I have downloaded Greenback and it keeps telling me I am missing the Short Cut, which shows on my desk top, but will not work..Went back and read and it told me some computers it didn't work in and to down load a File named Sedup-ocx, which I did...then finish downloaded after it got on my desktop and rebooted my computer and still no go.
Can anyone help me..I wrote to Badgehelp, but no answer, must be busy, so thought maybe someone here could help...
Going to work now, but will be back by 5...Thanks Carole
Just downloading the file is not enough. After saving to your desktop you need to install the file by double-clicking it.
1. Operating system is Window XP, 2. Browser ( tried Internet Explorer and Mozilla (fire fox)),3. Color setting is 32 bit, 4. Screen resolution 1024 X 768 5. disabled in Internet Explorer and not available in Fire Fox. 6. Java 1.6.0 (Sun) 7. Greenback. 8. Download today, but can't bring it up to find out what version. and 9. Have deleted from all files including Recycle Bin...turned off computer, pulled plug and wait 20 seconds and plugged it back in and brought it back up...( oh yes, I had download the file Setup-ocx) now I down loaded it again onto my desk top, doubled clicked...it brings up the shortcut, but when I click on it, it tells me that "Missing Short Cut" and it trys to look for it, say the item greenback.Exe is missing...so I hope I have answered all of the questions, so that maybe you can figure it out...when I click on the emblem with the H in it, a large back oblong box comes up for just a quick moment and then disappears...Carole
I had the big black oblong flash in one of the other auto's I used.
Not sure if its the same error but sometimes (for know known reason) the auto doesn't work on a computer with a particular windows version.
Try right clicking the auto, select properties then compatability and change it to run in windows 95. If this doesnt work try one of the other windows options.
Can't hurt to try :D
Thank You pogokaz, but none of them worked...but did try going into the properties on the short cut and this is what it told me
Problem with Short Cut
The folder 'C:\ProgramFiles\BadgeHelp\greenback\' specified in the Start In box is not valid. Make sure that the folder exists and that the path is correct
Can anyone help me with that? Thanks Carole
