Sounds like your AV software is causing a false detection.

Try deleting it rebooting and redownloading

I would do a complete AV/Spyware scan, delete the program, clear your cache, reboot your pc and redownload from www.badgehelp.com

If that still doesn't work you'll have to contact BH and/or your software provider

SOME AV programs will not detect Malware.. Depending on what you have as your AV program and if you purchased a comprehensive and up to date Security Suite or just have an AV program running.
Also, when I was using a free program, I think it was AVG from Grisoft, I had a few false alarms with everything from email to websites. Same with Zone Alarm.. They are really good programs, but they do give false positives at times.

I know of 2 sites which will check your PC for Malware, spyware, trojans, worms, etc. and give you instructions on how to remove what is found if you are not their client. Both McAfee and Symantec have good scans for free. You go to their websites and download a small application which runs the scan one time. You can return and use it multiple times. I don't think it removes anything though..
There are also some good programs to download and keep which are designed to find and delete Malware. A few are still free.
I suggest you go to a reputable PC site like www.ZD.net and look for one which meets your needs.
IF you run a scan with the program and it doesn't find anything, then yes, your AV is sending a false alarm. One of my computers has an AV suite which was totally incompatible with Zone Alarm products and sent out funky messages until I figured out what the problem was by the process of elimination.

I have never gotten any malware from any BH download, and don't know anyone who has. My PC did get a nasty Malware worm from a POGO game to go download though. This was before Pogo started certifying their game to go downloads as virus free.

BTW, it's up to you, of course, but if another version of a good scan shows no malware, then you DO have the option of turning your AV off while using Backspin.
You're not going to get a virus from the Pogo site, and autos won't run with Email clients open, so you would be safe.
