I am a new member to the 150 club as of yesterday. Have been running Mahjong 3.8. I have it set to match the seasons, which it does not do most of the time, and every 3 or 4 games it is almost done and resets to new game. I did the troubleshooting, but that did not help. Not very tec.here so hopefully you can tell me what I need to do. Thanks alot :OO
Do you have your game setting on either easy or medium? Madjong does not like to play on the hard setting.
Also are you using the first set of tiles that Pogo released?
I'm not sure why, but this version 3.8 plays MUCH better with the " match seasons" unchecked.
I tried it out and mine played 2 years worth of animals without any restarts on Easy setting and the season matching unchecked, Pogo original tiles and Animals selected instead of temples.
I think it's the best version of Madjong ever, and I hope you get yours working well soon.
yes I am playing with the oringal tiles and doing the animals. I will uncheck the box for matching seasons and see how it does. Thank you :/\
yea mine dont like matching seasons either that was just added for the weekly badges that require to match all 8 seasons a certain amount of times.
ok,I was playing on med. and I unchecked the box for the seasons. It still kept reseting itself. Went down to easy and it played the first 2 years okay, but on the 9 month of the third year it quit. I finished the puzzle and went to next month and it would do nothing. What do I do? :OO
The auto asks for a new puzzle when it is out of moves.
it had stoped before it had finished the puzzle. I waited 9 minutes and it did nothing,so I turned it off and finished the puzzle myself. than I turned it back on and it would do nothing.just sat there.Shut it all down, went back on and started it again and it worked for the first puzzle, than reset itself on the second puzzle. finished the third and I stoped it and decided to run my ad ware and clean out my temp files to see if that would help. than I will try it again.
that seemed to help. It is running slower now but went three years and it only reset one time so is better. thanks for your help

It actually plays the puzzles a lot faster on my newest PC.... if I uncheck the matching seasons.
Always do that and it should run really well now. They just the Madjong cheat.
