Title: Problem with Flanks
Post by: JohnsBeth on October 17, 2007, 07:34:49 AM
When I try to run Flanks, I get a message saying:

GJRYSUFXGE.EXE has encountered an error and must shut down.

When I click on the See information on this error, I get:

Error signature says:

AppName: gjrysufyxg.exe    AppVer: 0.0.0.0    ModName: gjrysufyxg.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0    Offset: 0008c809

I can't do a troubleshoot report because I can't get to the program bar.  I am running XP 2, Firefox, and all the other badgehelp programs are working fine.

Try deleting the program, reboot your computer, and then download again.

Didn't do any good.  The program makes one play then I get the error message.  I tried doing a TSR, but I can't use the buttons.

Did you reboot your pc before going to the BH website to download again?

I have XP with SP2, not Vista, but that is exactly, step by step, how I install the programs.  I will do it one more time.

didn't change anything, it still makes one play then an error window comes up and says:

GJRYSUFYXG.Exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I can't access the program to do a TSR, and this is the only one I'm having problems with.

Delete the auto and then do a disk cleanup and then disk defrag.

Reboot the computer and re download the file.

What is happening is that there is a error on your hard drive and the program is saving to the same spot everytime.

This should solve your issue.

Didn't help, still getting the same problem.  I will run a scandisk overnight and try again tomorrow.

Thanks

You need to play on the beginner difficulty.

Deleted Flanks, did a DiskScan, no errors were found, did another defrag for good measure, shut down overnight.  Came on this morning and tried again, still getting same error.

Try turning off any unnecessary programs, windows etc that are running in the background and see if it will run.

I deleted Flanks, rebooted, shut down absolutely everything that wasn't essential, including my anti-virus, but still got the same error.

Are you starting the program from the badgehelp folder or a desktop shortcut?

I don't know what else to tell you. I'm not sure if I told you to email BH if they would have an answer but you can give it a shot. I already asked them myself and they indicate it's an installation problem.

I use the auto, but it freezes at the bottom of the screen after about 2 jackpot spins.  Really needs an update in my opinion.  Doesn't play well at all.  Hope you get the problem fixed.  But BH needs to improve this auto.
