Try doing a system restore

how do u do that?
I don't normally recommend doing this but this is how it's done.
1. Log on to Windows as Administrator.
2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
3. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
4. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system checkpoint in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next. A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.
5. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.
6. Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page appears.
7. Click OK.

I know I've been pretty much silent, and remained neutral on the Vista issue ( :)) ) but I need to state for the record.... I sooooo dislike Vista.

It seem to be very finicky.... it won't synch the computer clock if you're on a wireless connection.... it decides on it's own that it doesn't like your internet connection .... updated files are often corrupted and the only fix is a reinstall.... these are the issues I've had and were all supposed to be addressed in the SP1 update, which I can't download because of corrupted files from the last update. Though I've been hearing that there are now several issues with that update, too. Anyway... I'll be doing a reinstall in the next week. I really hope you have no other problems!
Well, Swamp. dear friend, the cause is due to your name change (again) LOL :)) :)) :))
