I just want to introduce myself. I'm Chris and an avid fan of this web site! I had initially registered under my pogo screen name before reading the part that I shouldn't use that addie. Oh well. But there are so many interesting people here that I figured I might as well use a different email address so I can register under a different name.
To all who write the programs, they are awesome. I normally like to play the games by hand, but sometimes it's just too grueling and it's nice to have someone else do it for me.
What prompted me to write was the Chess challenge. I haven't a CLUE about that game, and I got the badge. I'm sure my friends will be wondering about that one. :)))
Hello to all... see you soon... and thanks for a very interesting forum. jester.gif

Thanks, Fanny. I try. I can thank the nuns for my spelling and grammar. They slapped you silly if you didn't get it right. :{: Back then they were allowed to!! !@#$

My granny, named Frankie (after her uncle) attended school in the deep southern part of Louisiana where teachers got away with most anything. She had 1 teacher who kept smacking her hand with a ruler because she wrote with her left hand. One day, Grandma Frankie had enough and beat the garbage out of the teacher. That was the end of the ruler punishment.
And Welcome to the nuthouse...errrrr... I mean the forum! :)
<..> Welcome Chris. There are a bunch of great people in here. Nice to have you here with us.

Thanks, Bell (I can't bear to call you Stinker!) for the welcome. I enjoy all your posts, along with all the other regulars... My dad went through what your grannie did (great name!!), but remained left handed anyway. I'm left handed when it comes to writing, eating with a fork ( !@!) and smoking... oh and drinking from a glass, be it a tumbler or a wine glass. I think everything else I do right handed. Kinda weird. I wonder if there are blocked out memories of those nuns hitting me with rulers!! I do remember having to put my chewing gum on my nose. Man, they were cruel!!
And, I see that this is a nuthouse and that's why I just had to join. <..>

Welcome to the forum Chris. Happy cheating! I would welcome you no matter what kind of spelling and grammar you have.

Welcome to the forum! Have fun and have a great day! vacation51.gif
Welcome,
Look here first when you have a question. You'll find yourself not alone. Lots of good information is shared at this site...and it is appreciated.
Again, Welcome
S1lent
Thanks, Tara, Jewel, S1lent for the welcome.
S1lent, I'm going back looking at tons of old posts. Interesting and very informative! A question I do have, and maybe this is for Domer (I will forever think of Homer as Domer, as it is my favorite episode)... but I've tried and tried to get a pic for my screen name. I know I had read somewhere how to do it, and now I can't recall where it was. Tried to get a link to an image and it wouldn't work.
OH... another question... this one for Domer. I KNOW that pic of the woman on the right in your signature from many years ago. What show is she from??? It's been bothering me from the first time I logged on to this site!!!
Chris
To put a picture under your name you need to upload the image to ImageShack or Photobucket . It must be under 150 x 150 pixels
The girl is Natalie from Big Brother 9
Could you please call me Homer?
So sorry, Homer! Bad joke on my part. :(
Thanks for the info.

All we want are fun people that are respectful of the management. :!!
FreecellFanny your avatar is so cute, he looks exactly like my cat did when he was a kitten!
That is my British Shorthair kitten. She is almost 9 months old now but in the pic she was about 12 weeks. :-*

The little sod was speechless last night...I heard a clatter in the kitchen; went in to discover that she had jumped up on the kitchen counter and gone out the window above the sink. She was perched on the ledge two stories up. :ooo
All I could see was $650 flying out the window! :))
Thank god she came back in when I called out to her. canadian2.gif

I do too but that's a lot of cabbage. :(
That is way too cute! If I had a cat, I would be ordering it right now! Wonder if my Bichons would use it. Nawww they are too spoiled. They want to be carried outside and held in the sun. Babies.
I have a cat tent that is just like a real pup tent ('cept it has cat ears, a tail, and whiskers). My little one loves it. I find new toys in it every day. He has a little Christmas kittie stocking that is one of his favorites. It's either that or rubber bands. Go figure! The fat one can't quite fit and that's why I think he doesn't go in. But he does bat the little one from the outside. It is way too cute. There are little windows on the sides and back and they look at each other from them. :))
Love kids, but glad I have cats instead!! cat22.gif

You might want to keep the rubber bands away from them. If they eat them they can mess up their intestines etc. At least that's what the vet tells me.
Thanks for the info, Homer. I will throw them all out. I even find them in their food dish when I get home from work. They'll have to stick with their regular cat toys from now on!! I've seen them throw them up in the air, but God only knows what they do with them when I'm not around.

It is but I am such a sap for my cats that I would spend it in a heartbeat.
Using that link you gave me I investigated several items and went to other sites but all of those devices are made for windows that open and close vertically. The one vertical window we have in our apartment is too small; the rest open with a crank and they swing out. Casey's favourite window is in the bathroom and that slides open from side to side, also not appropriate.
The one thing we do have that they both love is a multi-level kitty condo that is right in front of a floor to ceiling window right by the bird feeders. The manufacturers site lists it for $169 plus tax but we got the exact same model on eBay for $110, tax and shipping included: http://armarkat.com/pix1/A7802.htm
