This is total bs, this change was made to hurt us. They are picking on auto users, whom probably make up a huge percentage of their cash flow.
Thanks for the New Ranks, but...
You made me lie to my Hubby. I just told him Tri-Peaks had new ranks, and badges, and that because he finished this game years ago, and kept playing because of all the challenges, he would have most of the new ranks and badges already.
Well, lo and behold, we went and looked and he is still at rank 30, but has more than enough wins that he should be past rank 40 already.
I know stats don't keep track of artifacts, but it does keep track of wins, and 6 wins gets you an artifact.
Those of us who haven't completed the first set of ranks will have to play a lot fewer games to get to Rank 100 than those who played well past rank 30, but are not getting credit. In Mahjong Garden he got all the new badges right away, and I know when Wonderland Memories came out with new ranks many were automatically awarded the new ones. Is there a reason why Tri-Peakers are not being rewarded for their hard work?
Aren't you kinda tellin' us that when you get to a final rank on a game, stop playing, because if new ranks come out in the future you will have to earn them twice to get them?

Editor: Yes, we did make that change. But we'd never tell anyone to stop playing their favorite games!
Why the change? Because it's a lot more fun for people to rank up than to be given a bunch of ranks and badges for games they've already played. Think about it-- isn't it more enjoyable to actually see the new badge and appreciate when you've done something to earn it?
Pogo is all about fun. Getting all of the ranks and badges retroactively is fun for about five minutes. Earning the new ranks and badges is fun for a whole lot longer.
Yep...my thoughts exactly when I read that, and I disagree with that change Pogo made on so many different levels.
So, was this change made AFTER the new ranks were added or are they saying that the change was made with the release of the new ranks?
Thing is, either way it makes no sense at all because people in the rooms were saying that when the ranks were added, they had been bumped up to the higher ranks. So did Pogo take those away?
Anyway, if the "change" was made WITH the release of the new ranks, you got to know it was a Pogo screw up... they just forgot to push the necessary button to calculate previous wins and don't want to go back and fix it.
