I have no idea what happened, but  have you tried to get in using Firefox instead of IE?

Make sure Java is enabled in IE, I had similar problem on my daughters computer and Java was not enabled, also make sure you have allowed Pogo in your cookie settings. Go into Tools/Internet Options/Programs then Manage Addons and make sure Java says enabled there, if not enable it.

it has already been enabled in those settings, how do you allow pogo access in the cookie settings..im actually able to bring up the pogo site..but its not allowing me in to a room, keeps bringing that error java message up..that offers three suggestions..i checked all three and everything was as it should be..im stumped..

Go into your popup blocker settings and then type in pogo.com and add it as an allowed site.

If all else fails I guess you can try a restore, maybe that will put it right again.  Wish I could think of more to help you  :((

Misty,
I don't know if this will help or not, I found it on the interent. Someone else was having the same problem. This is supposedly posted on the Pogo website somewhere. Go to the help section on Pogo and type in java not working and it has the answers under #6.

"'Java not found or not working' errors when using Sun Java and IE 7

If you recently updated to Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7.0) and are now experiencing 'Java Not Found or Not Working' errors, it is typically due to Java being disabled in the browser. You can manually enable Java using the steps below:
1.Open an Internet Explorer 7 browser window.
2.Click on the Tools menu in the upper right of the window.
3.Choose Manage Add-Ons and then select Enable and Disable Add-Ons.
4.Click on Sun Java Console.
5.Make sure the radio button at the bottom is set to Enable.
6.Click OK.
7.Close the window.
8.Open a new Internet Explorer 7 browser window and go to the Pogo website.
Launch a Pogo game.
Try one that you are sure was not working previously so you can test it.

Java should now be fully enabled and Pogo games should work correctly."

I am NO computer wiz, Misty, but I don't think deleting cookies would have done this to you.  I delete cookies ALL THE TIME when I clean out my cache and that problem doesn't happen to me.... nor have I heard the connection with anyone else.  I really wish I could be of more help.  I hate puter problems!  Don't these blasted machines know that we have some serious cheating to do??

I also delete my cookies and history daily, maybe a registry cleaner might help.......something is messed up.

I can not find the link, but Homer recommended the Advanced System Care scan.  I downloaded it and it cleans out a lot of stuff.  The link is in here (the tech section) somewhere.

Misty, try turning off all your security for just a minute and see if it will let you play...if it does, then you know that something in your security is blocking it.

The new Java update may be the problem. Now, there is an applet warning (the little yellow triangle at the right, top corner of the "waiting for players" box) that has been messing up my autos. I thought it was something wrong with java, but this is what I found:

This article applies to:

    * JRE version(s):
      6.0

A new warning feature has been added to Java's applet behavior (please refer to the image below). When an unsigned applet opens a new window, outside of the browser, a yellow border appears around the applet along with a triangular warning sign appearing on the top right corner of the applet.

This is a new feature as of Java 6u10. It provides users a warning that a pop-up window has been activated. The yellow border and warning sign will go away once the user move the cursor out of the applet window area.

This has really messed up my auto, especially in Dominoes.

Apparently they think we can't figure out what a pop-up is without their assistance.  :-[

Another reason NOT to update Java.

I turn my auto update off on Java, and usually wait to see how many problems others have with the latest release before I update....it is the old if ain't broke thing  :)))

You may also want to check your Control Panel : Add / Remove Programs

Everytime you update your Java, it doesn't uninstall the previous versions. That could also give you problems with playing the Pogo games.

ever since i uninstall version 6 and installed version 5 its been working okay...my computer is about four years old now so maybe it cant handle all that new and updated stuff...

Does anyone know if s it safe to delete previous versions of java in control panel?  I see a couple other versions and have always wondered if it's safe to delete.  Thanks for any info regarding this.

i deleted the version 6 to install version 5...i dont think it hurts to delete all the previous ones..

I think multiple copies can only confuse the issue.  I've deleted all but the latest and I think my Java problems are fewer.

Always have ONE and only ONE version of SUN JAVA on your computer.

If you double-browse, Internet Explorer and Apple Safari (for VISTA) work great on same Java. Google Chrome is too funky right now. I have not tried anything else.

Grrrr, I'm getting the Java error messages again but they only seem to be associated with Penguin Blocks.  I can't wait to have that game ranked out.  Can't happen fast enough for me.

Yes, I only have one version of JAVA.

I think BH should look at some of the older autos, they have not been updated in well over a year and really don't work correctly with newer Java.  Penguin Blocks auto was last updated in August of 2007.

Maybe stick in a GO FOR COMBINATIONS setting, too?
