They answer when he sends then messages but not me so they know they did wrong
Just to warn anyone out there and also this person must have been on here a long time as i dont just trust anyone to get badges if they had a low time on here or low posting they wld neevr have got details

If the person who stole from your friend was a member here you might want to speak to Homer privately about this so he can advise you accordingly.

I have only asked one person here to get a badge for me and it wasn't before I thought long and hard about it and watched how this person was with others. They are a long-time and trusted member of this board and there were no problems.

I have also helped you Apple and I trust you were happy with the results. embrace.gif

I am sorry your friend had trouble. Maybe in the future you could stick with the trusted regulars to help you out. blink.gif

I have always said giving someone else access to your account is not a good idea.

Giving someone access to your personal info is just asking for a case of identity theft.

apple: In Jan you were saying that someone that used your password charged things and now it is someone elses account. I am confused here. Was it you like the other post said or was it this friend of yours or did you both get taken?

Unfortunately, no. I went back looking at posts from you and you have asked for a ton of help and so it isn't just one or two people we are talking about.

I am so sorry, Apple. I know that you have asked for help in the past and I, myself, have helped you. I suggest that if you are going to continue to ask for help that you make a list of people you have asked before and KNOW that all went well - and just ask those on that list. With every new person from whom you accept help, you stand a chance of having this happen. I am so sorry and I hope that justice is yours - eventually.

My oldest brother gave me his a few years ago and I went in on April Fools Day and changed his mini to a female and all of his games to things like Makeover Madness and Perfect Pair. Yes it is a bad idea to even give your relatives access to your account.

It does not have to be one of the ones who recently helped you. Anyone in your past could have just waited until enough time had gone by to eliminate them from the Usual Suspects and gone back in and done it. I went back over a year of your posts and there were dozens of requests for help on badges. If you had given someone here your password, I suspect you have given it out somewhere else too.

I've been helping Apple get badges for a few years now, and I think I've done some of her friends that she usually has to help get. Apple, if you want help with badges I suggest that you erase all your personal information in your pogo account and the same for others. You can't gift gems, so the only way someone could gift a badge album would be though your paypal, or credit card info. Just keep all that stuff blank. I just pay with paypal and sign in each and everytime I need something. I see a lot of people on here who ask for help that give their name to just anyone. There is no telling what goes on with giving password in PMs that we don't see.

I've only given my password to Homer one time, but he tried to molest my mini, so he can't have it again. giggle2.gif

undecided.gif I thought we had already discussed this subject once.

People who ask for help on here and give out their passwords out need to take some responsibilty too. It is up to YOU to protect your account.

Their are a lot of good people on the forum willing to help with badges. I have a very simple solution to this problem, probably too simple. There is a very special place which offers Uncle Otto and they have all the progams for every single game on Pogo, it is called Badge Helpers.

If it is a group of people who know each other, pool your money and then just help each other. I have every single program that Badge Helpers offers. So, if it is 2 people that is only $75 each.

The connection is right at the top of the forum I copied and pasted this below for everyone.

"150 Buys them ALL"
Get all of the "BadgeHelpers" for the low cost of $150. That's 86 programs for a savings of $705! This is such a great deal making the programs cost about $1.75 each!!!! Not only do you get a great price on them but you also will have 24 access to them so you can get them as you go and need them. You get all of the programs that you see listed on the website at the time you buy them all. Future releases are half off ($5 each)

Ok maybe I missed something but how in the world did you give your pw to someone as you claim in pogo cheats but do not know their name, considering people don't post their pogo names on here I would assume that you had to have their pogo cheats name to pm them ur info.

Apple,

I am so sorry to hear what happened to you and your friend. I know that you have helped me with challenges before and I am truly grateful for your help. I wish there were more people like you that we CAN trust. I have personally asked for help on here and a lot of peeps have offered but I believe I know who I can trust and whom I can't trust and I choose accordingly.

Because of what happened to you, I just went in and erased all my info so that if I do need any help no one can get any of my info.

Wow, back up a minute first of all I didn't say I did not feel bad for you but you are the one who gave out information. That is a chance YOU are taking. If that was me I would keep track of who I gave information to. And I usually keep messages that I have sent for awhile anyway, so how was I suppose to know that you deleted your stuff. No need to be rude.

I have been a member of this site for over 4 years, but I have never asked for help to darn scared too. From being a member here for so long there are only a few that I would ever ask if I was brave enough so everyone takes a chance in doing what u did.

So true. I think anyone who has invested time in this site has shown themselves to be full of goodness. Anyone who would do such a thing is beyond low.

And I had a thought for apple - I didn't realize I needed to clear out the 'sent' PM's too so you might be able to narrow it down by looking in 'outbox' for the time period you think it happened.

Stinky, you will even be more confused, when I try to explain it. hysterical.gif But here goes, I will try. I was just saying that maybe the best option for someone if they have a friend who wants to share the cost is to have one person purchase the 150 package and then do badges for themselves and the one friend. NOT start their own badge getter service!
I feel sorry for Apple that this happened to her. I had by whole Pogo name stolen, so I understand the feeling of trust and absolutely no one had my password. I have no idea how they did it! I stopped having anything to do with the people on my friends list except for 4 people I had known for a long time. I fought with Pogo for 9 months before I got the original screenname back and by then I was use to my new one. Pogo even put the 4 million I had in the original account into the one with my new name. It's hard when your trust is betrayed to sometimes move on. I am now paranoid if anyone tries to talk to me in Pogo, especially private chat. Won't do it period except for those 4 people I mentioned.
Now aren't you glad you ask. hysterical.gif

I feel horrible that it happened to Apple, too. The part that makes me feel soooo bad, is that apparently it was someone who she perceived as a trusted Pogo Cheats poster. That stinks.

This is spot on advice for anyone asking for help.
I've personally helped apple with her account and her friends/family in the past as well as numerous other peoples. If I offer to help someone and they don't take me up on the offer I'm not offended, but in the same vein those that I have helped I've always asked if they will verify I am genuine if the need arises. When I offer to help someone 'new' (to me) I offer to furnish them with the names of the people who I have helped in the past that have said they will vouch for me.

I beleive by keeping the list of names (if you want help) and keeping a list of 'vouchers' (if you are a helper) makes life on pogo a little more secure. By giving passwords out you are taking a risk, so minimising this risk to the best of your ability can only help.

Do unto others as you wish done to yourself is my motto.

Sadly Stinky that is so true, I found something on the internet and it is about the universival law of cause and affect. Goes by another well know name, Karma.

Due to the inescapable law of cause and effect, every one of our actions in life comes back to us in some way at some stage in the future. It is not like someone or some higher power is watching you, it is simply a law of the universe. What ever type of energy you put out into the universe is what you will get back. If you steal you will never gain any benefit from the item you have stolen, in fact it will only cause you problems. If you steal money, that money will only bring you trouble since that stolen money is dripping with negative energy. Since energy is attracted to like energy, an item or money that was stolen carries negative energy and that can only attract more negative energy.

You might think that you know some people who have gotten away with stealing but let me tell you, they have not gotten away with anything. The universe always pays you back for the actions you make. You might steal but the universe might pay you back in another completely different way which will hurt you as much or considerably more than your theft hurt the person you stole from.

I hope you have some way of keeping your card number information away from anyone helping you as well as keeping your gems to a minimum so you can't be "gifting" anyone anything. The card I use on my acct is limited to only $50 withdrawls - something new in bank security and in order to get more I have to input a series of numbers and letters not just that 3 digit security number.
