Title: PinochlePlayer problems.
Post by: disneyland lady on July 08, 2009, 10:09:58 AM
This is the challenge this week and I have rebooted, deleted and rebooted and downloaded. All I can get PinochlePlayer to do is to bid then it just sits there. I have submitted a TSR but the last 3 TSR's I have submitted were not dealt with so I am asking if anyone knows what the problem is. I have all the settings as per the Troubleshoot but I do have memory problems with some games. I doubt this one would be one of them though.

Have you tried using Mozilla - firefox?
After I posted that I tried player too and it did the same thing to me with explorer, so I took my own advice and used firefox and it played without missing a beat  tumbsup.gif

who me? Thank you for this suggestion. I am going to use it on Trickshot that also just sits there. I am so blessed with my pogocheat buddies. Thank you ((((Sassy))) for getting the badge for me. Also Magzy, good suggestion but I don't have enough memory to load two different browsers and actually play. I am going to gift myself with some good memory after summer is over.

Hey Sugar...you're welcome. Glad I was able to help out a friend again.  embrace.gif

I ran my auto today on Pinochle and at first it just sat there.  undecided.gif I guess 'cause I don't ever use it and it didn't know what it was suppose to do.  hysterical.gif So I checked the box "Bid when you have a run", hit start and away it went.

Let me know about your Pool one but I aint gonna play against Squid for ya. She has an unfair advantage with 8 tentacles.  tongue.gif

I had checked that box too - and the others. It would do the bid but just sat there after bidding not moving a card.

It's all done, Sass, but I love that you were ready to tag team it!  It was easier than I thought.  She's all set on the two badges and the album.

Thanks, hon.

Your welcome dll  embrace.gif  I also checked and unchecked all the options and it just sat there in explorer, but in firefox it whizzed right thru.
Not sure if other auto's that are stuck will work in one browser when not in the other, but that's usually what I try first. tumbsup.gif

from Badgehelp:

PinochlePlayer updated to 0.7
09:38@July 9, 2009

A few people were having problems with it. We found a bug and fixed it

I just went and got PinochlePlayer 0.7, but when I installed it, it installed QuackAttack instead. The file I downloaded and the file that I clicked on was named PinochlePlayer.

Any idea where PinochlePlayer could be hiding?   magnifier.gif

Still installs QuackAttack Homer. Going to go clean again with SystemCare and reboot again, thanks.

Sorry Homer and Stinkerbell, I tried the link from Homer, top of main page and the one on Badge Help.

All three install QuackAttack and all three look like this when I look at them in winzip:

Challenge not that bad I guess, thanks for the help.

I think it is saving somewhere else cuz you are showing a pic of something last modified April 21, 08. Do a search for it on your system.

You don't open the file with winzip anyway. The program automatically extracts the file

Try downloading the file straight to your desktop...click save, not run. Then from the desktop try opening it. I've never had one go into WinZip.
Good luck!

I always save the files to desktop. I double click on them to install.

I only used winzip this time to see why it was installing QuackAttack instead and what I found was what I posted as winzip results.
