I went to my friends list tonight and pogo has screwed me with this facebook deal. I'm not into facebook so this feature pisses me off. If I wanted to connect with friends I'd call them. pogo has really given me a blackeye with this one. what do you think of this feature?

I hate it. And I hate facebook. I made the mistake of accepting someone's invitation and they all came out of the woodwork. If I wanted to be friends with people from 30 years ago, I would have kept in touch. So, I agree with you.
well said the people I knew 30 years ago were ass.gif then and they havent improved over the years. Some of them got worse

I went to privacy setting and turned off guestbook entirely. tumbsup.gif
that facebook popup is a pain in the ass. I signed up for facebook 2 days ago
to play Farmville and now I wish I hadn't.

I do not want to be friends with anyone in Pogo, so the guestbook is meaningless to me. The Facebook popups went away as soon as I turned off guestbook. tumbsup.gif

Every where I look, it's facebook. Hate it and sorry I ever joined. Only did to look at pics of kids.
I've even had relatives tell me I was behind in family news, "don't you ever go on facebook?" they said
What-the-what?????? I wrote back and said Facebook is hardly the place to get family information. That's the place for others go to catch up. If family can't keep in touch any other way than facebook, I guess I will remain in the dark

well i havent noticed it today. There was a popup when you went to friends list and it said unable to connect to facebook. It hasnt been ther today
But for someone like me whos not facebook friendly. and who has people on my friends list like my mother ,brothers and sister it was a pain in the ass

Amen! I don't like feeling like they are advertising even though I pay for my membership.
I too resent this being forced on us.
In my opinion these social networking sites are for kids and the more that people get into them the more intrusive they seem to me.
People I work with are into this and are constantly "friending" everyone...I see you at work 8 hours a day so do you really think I want to hang with you at night as well?
I joined solely to keep an eye on my teenage daughter and now I can't get away from people friending me.

The only reason I have facebook is to keep up with old friends from past jobs to see if they found anything better. The main reason I have pogo was so that I wouldn't have killed many of those past friends.....no reason for me to EVER mix those two together.

Don't click any links in the message. These are sometimes phising messages and once you confirm your ID and password they hijack your stuff

I agree with Homer........don't click on any links inside of emails...even if they are from sites like your banking institution or paypal. There are alot of hackers and bad bad people out there that want your information and sometimes we blindly give it to them by believing they are who they say they are.
I once got an email from paypal and said my account may have been compromised and they gave me a link to click on to log on and verify my information, well I took my mouse and hovered over the link (without clicking on it) and it was going to take me to some other site....not paypal. But it looked all official because the people that sent the email copied the paypal graphics and made it look legit. As I said I DID NOT CLICK! But there are some people who may who don't know any better!
BEWARE! BEWARE! If you believe any account on any site has been compromised and you want to make sure, go to the site directly yourself and log on as you normally would and change your information from there....not from any email!
all excellent advice............. I love the "hover" part. I think facebook must have somehow been breached. They didn't send me a link. They told me to go log in and change my profile information. Hopefully all is good
