Title: Glazed Ham with Pecan Crust
Post by: CindyLouWho on March 09, 2010, 01:31:51 PM
I haven't baked a ham this way but this looked good & easy,  giggle2.gif

Glazed Ham with Pecan Crust

20-lb bone-in fully cooked ham
4 cups apple cider
2 cups brown sugar
2 Tbsp Dijon-style mustard
3 cups pecans, finely chopped

Directions:
Place ham in baking dish & pour cider over. Preheat oven
to 325 degrees.  Roast for 15 minutes per pound, basting
with cider every 30 minutes, or until a thermometer
registers 140 degrees.
Meanwhile, in bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, & pecans.
Remove ham from oven during the last 40 minutes & firmly
pat the sugar mixture all over it.  Return to oven & roast until
crust is brown & ham is done.
