Actor Corey Haim -- best known for 80s films including License to Drive and the Lost Boys -- has died at the age of 38.
According to police, Haim, who had past substance-abuse problems, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday of an accidental overdose.
He reportedly was found unresponsive at his apartment, according to TV station KTLA. He was with his mother at the time of his death.
He was later pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank. Around 7:30 a.m. PT, his body was brought to the Los Angeles Coroner's Office.
That's a shame but in his case it was a matter of time.
Serves him right. How many people have to die of overdoses before others learn. What is it you get rich and become stupid. You do drugs you get what you deserve!!!
Addiction is extremely hard to overcome. And it is a battle you fight every day for the rest of your life. The culture in the entertainment industry just breeds this. And Corey got pulled in at a very young age. May his family find peace.

Good luck with your recovery. I had a friend who died 3-4 years ago because he couldn't put the crack pipe down.
Gee, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend (((Homer))) and of Corey.
And I'm glad to hear you beat that addiction (((Sugarfootin))).
I see so many and hear of so many where drugs/alcohol have impacted lives in harsh, negative and sad ways.
And I feel a sadness in my heart for them and their families.
I can't imagine not being able to have compassion for them.
I'm sorry Corey came to the end like so many do that can not beat the addiction.
