Title: Thunderpopper Problem
Post by: kitm9891 on March 15, 2011, 08:48:17 PM
Alright, Ive been out of the loop for awhile but i did search and was unsuccessful in finding anything so here goes nothing. We were using Thunderpopper and it keps going out of sync for some reason, we were using version 5.9 at the time so thinking that it needed to be updated since the website shows 6.5 as being the current version out there we decided to do so. Went into the program area, right clicked and deleted the thunderpopper program. We then downloaded 6.5 and we get an error 51 stating to reinstall the program but it wont let us as Im stuck in the loop currently. Any ideas? Its getting exhausting dealing with issues with the only two auto's we've ever downloaded and it certainly doesnt make us eager to download anymore thats for sure. Im stuck here so if anyone can give some advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

To add to this, when we go into the program files and attempt to delete the old program it wont allow it and says "You need permission to perform this action". Im about done with this to be honest as now I cant even get the thing off the computer.

EDIT- I got it off the computer but now Im hosed because all I get is that error 51 telling me to reinstall it but it wont actually install it apparently since it just keeps giving me that message. Im clueless and beyond annoyed at this point but would love some feedback on this still if anyone has any ideas. If it makes any difference we are using Firefox.

1. Make sure you have ALL windows updates
2. Run this program and fix any problems http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Free/3000-2086_4-10407614.html
3. Defrag your pc
4. Reboot your pc
5. Redownload

And I agree with Homer here. Try turning off your AV program when you install the updated version, no fuss or muss, but still useful to know.
