Title: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Post by: gran2x2 on June 03, 2012, 06:11:17 AM
Am I the only one that finds this movie an new low for entertainment?? Maybe my age is showing but I find it very disrespectful to one of nations greatest leaders...

The movie synopsis is...

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.

I find it a little hard thinking of Abe Lincoln after vampires!  no-no.gif

On the other hand, I watched the Hatfields/McCoys series & enjoyed most of it.  Being from WV I've heard about them all my life.  I meant to ask my brother-in-law what he thought of it cause he's related to em cause they were visiting us this weekend but I forgot,  giggle2.gif  I thought the actors did great acting in it.

I've watched  popcorn2.gif lot of good movies lately, do we have a "Movies "  topic here somewhere cause I can't find it..lol.

I saw a newscast in which one of the newscasters said she saw it and it was actually good.  I have trouble with using the memory of A. Lincoln in such a manner, though.  Before you know it, a movie will come out with George Washington frequenting gentlemen's clubs, where revolutionary-era dancers reveal their crinolines.

Have cinematic imaginations run dry?

Movie makers do seem to be struggling to find ideas for new films.  Seems the Super hero market is doing well. Although they have already done a Spider Man re make.  But the one movie I really want to see remade cause in my mind they really  left out and rewrote some of the most exciting parts is Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2.  The only part they screwed over was the Battle Of Hogwarts and it was the one thing I was really waiting to see on the big screen.  I could not believe JK Rowlings let them do that.
