I have Win 8 and my icons are on the desktop. When I right click on the desktop, I have the following checked off:
View >>> small icons
align icons to grid
show desktop icons
show desktop gadgets
Other than that, I'm not sure how to help. GL
I'm not sure I worded the issue...what I am asking is this....when I open uncle Oscar it asks if I want a desktop icon...I always say yes...but they never appear...does that help any now that I think I worded is right....lol....
don't shoot me...I'm old as it is....lol
thanks
Ok, yes... that's a bit different. Someone with more know-how will have to respond. I am not using Uncle Ottos from BH since getting my new puter (1+ year ago), which is the puter with Win 8. My old puter had XP. You might want to try going to the folder where Uncle Otto resides and right clicking the file/.exe, choosing to create a desktop icon or shortcut. If that doesn't work, you might want to drag and drop to the desktop. If neither works, it's easily reversible.
Sorry, I know... I'm pretty lame. Helpfully lame, that is. lol
