Hey I just starting having this problem where if i don't type in a complete url to goto a web site it will give me a error saying it cannot find the site and that i should make sure the path or internet address is correct but when i put in the "www." it takes me right to the site. So im thinking theres some option somewhere to turn that off so i can type something like "google.com" and it will go straight to google but i cant seem to find that option and i was wondering if anyone would happen to know how i could change it back? Im using Crazy Broswer. Thanks 8)
I don't know if it's a browser specific problem or the actual URL. Some sites you have to type in the www and some you don't. I don't know why that is. ???
Lol i never knew you ever moved anything out of off topic, because it didnt have anything to do with pogo. :)
No, its not any specific site its giving me that error on all sites..
Just type the name and then CTRL+ENTER.
Yea nice tip sam but this complete address thing is killing me.
are ya too lazy lol? ;D sorry just kidding :-[

yea i guess in a way :P and i just cant stand having things wrong with my comp that are in the way and that i cant fix, it irritates me ;D
well i know now my IE is that same way with the url but Opera & Mozilla work fine i can type anysite.com and it will work so whatever the prob is i know its not just crazy browser or just IE. I've looked all in the tools and options but im not finding anything that could fix my problem >:(

Ok when you register a domain and hook it up with dns servers, you are allowed subdomains. So, for instance, I own iaMnafetS.com. I can point stupid.iamnafets.com to whatever I want (IP wise). Anyways, people do stuff with their servers other than just a web server so WWW caught on. Basically, you have to be a pretty lazy webmaster (or some sites charge more per subdomain?) to not register the www, or not link all your subs to the right IP. It's not much of a browser problem. I probably didn't explain that right, but I'm almost positive I'm right.
Sorry iamnafets, but it has to be a broswer problem because it only recently started happening. >:( ;)
I don't think it's the browser. I just typed in google.com and didn't have a problem. Any others you had trouble with?
why don't you just type in www.google.com whats wrong that?
Some people don't like to type the www part.
umm why cuz you lazy? j/k lol
Not me. ;)
I'm just soo used to typing sites without the www it throws off the "flow" of course i could type www in but the whole point is that ive only recently had to and i dont know how to fix it...I am really out of ideas i mean i checked everything i could think of and i came up with nothing. :-\ I have trouble with EVERY site that i dont put www. in or http:// :-[
Don't know what to tell you. I have CB IE and Netscape and all I have to type is google.com ???
Try a system restore maybe. ;)
